If you can’t find anything and you need a job take it. But don’t believe you can advance or feel your contribution with working for them gives you a feeling of happiness nor satisfaction. 
There is no team work no positive challenges and atmosphere is not easy. Its always the same people who work hard and gets treated ungratefully and some who seem to work and all they do is nothing and that’s rewarded.  
There are too many captains and not enough sailors and even some sailors think they are captain. Now that said, if you like this atmosphere you will thrive and enjoy your workday. 

The well-being and personal development of employees are not their priority. High staff turnover rate. We are considered more of a number employee. Uninclusive and undiversified work environment. The feeling of trust and recognition is non-existent for some managers. The only positive points are working with kind, warm and helpful colleagues as well as the closeness between senior management and employees. The problem in this company are some managers who act as they want and the lack of supervision from HR. In short, the competition offers better working conditions in my opinion.


Everyday was the same routine, greeting our clients with a great hello and making sure they got what they needed. I learnt what makes clients happy and how to have many patients. It was full of socializing with different clienteles and I loved it. I got to meet new friends and new people everyday. The hardest part of the job was having a lot of pressure when we were under staffed and there was many clients causing a line up. The most enjoyable part of my job, was meeting new people and learning the system , how the cash worked and I got on extremely fast.

Overall, BMR Windsor Building Centre is a decent place to work. However, with multiple managers from different departments delegating tasks and not communicating with one another can create conflict and confusion among employees. In addition, it is a long 
"initiation" process. When first hired, it took a very long time to feel welcome and at home among the rest of the staff. I did not work there for a long time, but from what I gathered, it seemed to be a stressful, disoriented, somewhat unwelcoming environment.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything especially when you are a women you a nest on a stick. Thé VP often share how much more money they make than you with the entry level pay

Terrible it’s the hunger games 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work your bum bum off and have your leadership take credit

I was hired as a driver to deliver furniture, but 2 months in they put me in the lumber yard and I never left. Meanwhile they would hire yard guys and they would end up doing deliveries. Some employees would do dangerous s**t but management never cared. It's just a typical low-pay job for high schoolers and people who are waiting to find a better job. Not stressful, just boring.

- A typical day would be stocking shelves, cleaning the floor, and bring merchandise from storage.
- I learned that good communication will get you far, and that listening to your boss always helps.
- My co-workers are an amazing group of of people who work and communicate very well together.
- the most enjoyable part about the job was the flexible hours, great co-workers, and great working environment.

Worked at the head office in purchasing on a contract The hours were ok and the atmosphere was quite sociable. Never any long days. The job was kind of boring sometimes but you're also paid very poorly. I applied for another job within the company once and my manager was offended by it. They don't encourage career advancement. They expect you to do the same job forever. Not very multi-cultural either.

It's a fun place to work at summer but bad management\ bad salary make it worthy just for a year or two... the employees rebates are great and there are cool benefits if you want to work full time but the coop transformed this BMR into a place that does not want to pay employees and manage a place they dont know...

Salary is average at best, no growth opportunities, only if you are part of the clics. No matter how long you have worked for them they will consider you as a simple number. The work mentality has gone downhill with the new CEO. Used to be fun working there.
