Spent roughly five years working here, plant manager sometimes micro-manages, and is a little gruff and grumpy at times, but overall a fair guy. Coworkers are pretty cool, and the job itself is pretty chill, and based on that I would probably give this company 3.5/4 stars… but… I can’t really base my review on that because if I had to describe the management strategy coming from the larger company (nutri-groupe) in one sentence it would be -play stupid games win stupid prizes- To sum up some of what I mean, they decided during the middle of a labour shortage that they weren’t giving people raises anymore, you’ll start at 12/13 dollars and hour and if you hit 15/16 after five years your one of the lucky ones, and you likely won’t see another raise after that. They have chased at least 3 people who I would have thought were lifers out of the company this year already, and that’s only as far as I know because I left about a month ago. Likely it will get better eventually because they are in a relatively small town and they have already done some damage to there reputation and if they continue down this path eventually they’ll run out of people who are willing to work there, and they’ll be forced start making better management choices but until then I couldn’t recommend anyone go and work there.

Good company to work for with even better job security. Competitive wages based off other Monday to Friday day shift jobs. National support from corporate leadership. The staff here are friendly and work together to heal each other out. I look forward to daily interactions with staff as they are always in a good mood. The company is investing in equipment and training to make the work easier. Flexible schedules to assist in part time hours. Annual pay increase reviews to keep wages competitive. Benefits, RRSP contributions, work wear allowances. 

I really tried to love this job because some of the people are amazing but it’s not worth it. It’s extremely fast paced which I don’t mind but for what they pay it’s not worth it. Changeovers happen with little to no notice making you run around to change out your supplies. The supervisor is a joke, he’s very condescending and chuckles after every jab he takes at you. The hours are very unstable. One day you finish at 5:15pm, the next day you finish at 1pm. Their benefit package isn’t worth it. It’s just overall not a great company. 

The pay is appropriate for the positions. Management has very high expectations of their employees, while giving very little understanding of extenuating circumstances. They will make you feel like a burden if you need to take sick time for yourself or your family members. Would not recommend going above and beyond for them, as there is no benefit to the extra effort.

Typical day at work would be very busy and fast paced while being motivated to reach the daily goal.
The  hardest part is at the end of the day when its time to take apart the machines to clean and sanitize in a short amount of time other then that I enjoyed the work day there 

While there are many aspects of the work at countryside farms that are enjoyable, and some of the best co-workers I have ever had are at countryside all of that is overwhelmed by grossly low wages. After 10+ years the wage they offer is at best competitive with starting wages at similar companies and they make all kind of excuses and deflections when you confront them about their pay practices.

Absolutely  dreadful. 
Poor pay sent home early never gets a full two week pay

I have been with this company for over 20 years and it is the most stable job you can get if you are willing to work hard. Management is fair, all topics brought up are relevent to the issue at hand.
I am very satisfied with working for the company even though the merge with nutrigroupe changed a lot of things that we didnt do before

The management here is terrible. They are extremely understaffed and don't bother to properly train anyone or communicate any sort of schedule with the employees. Management will say they will do one thing to help everyone but then turn around and do the complete opposite. 

Ontario Pride Eggs is a very fast paced job if you're on the production line.  But the management there seem to genuinely care about the staff and constantly ask the employees if there's anything they can do to help them, which is very good.
