They claim it's a permanent full time job when they hire you, but they never stop hiring new people for the same jobs. 

You will end up being replaced no matter how well you perform in this job.

Favoritism on the work place will leave you stressed about the next shift and worry about the stability of your employment on a constant basis.

They will steal your hours and leave you with a paycheck that looks nothing like what you were supposed to have. They also don't correct past paychecks so you have to forget about the money completely while they laugh in your face. There are no security measures put in place to keep track of security issues, leaving the place very un-secure in the daily operations and stuck in no change mode. 

This has been the most unprofessional employment I've had in my whole life, people are downright in your face all the time and try to get on your nerves for no reason. Stay away from there!

Salary is not on par with the market.  Employees are treated like  they are in kindergarten. Dedicated accounts  have to pick up the slack of  the  so called call center and CSC  group making it hard to follow through with requests from Tier 1 customers.  Monitored all the time & reprimanded if you are not helping the " Team" or they think you should be doing more than just your job.  Big on Team work  but cannot manage the teams or department properly. 12 employees  have quit and 3   left on medical leave in  less than  1 year.    Management does not see the  large turn over as an issue but as normal operating procedures.  
Hardest part of the job is trying to keep on the good side of Senior  manager who runs hot and cold.  Pats you on the back  one minute and the next  calls you into the office for something childish. The most enjoyable part is leaving at the end of the day knowing you did your best to service your customer.

I enjoyed the work and worked very hard. Management changed and being hired through an agency meant no job security. I was forced to leave after 4 yrs with them. I was always punctual and worked my shift even when sick. The afternoon person was always late and it was expected I should cover for him. It was a busy yard and they couldn't appreciate that at the end of the day, I was tired. I was forced to quit.
I would not recommend this company as a good employer. There is no reward for loyalty, each man for himself.
I enjoyed working in my own shunt truck environment. It was good to meet other drivers, like myself.
It is shift work, so if you didn't get a day shift, it would be difficult, especially with a family.

terribly managed, horrible hours and work environment that is far from good. No control over the employee because of the lack of workers and temporary solutions are given instead of permanent ones. salary is less than idea for the amount of work and constant increase of it. No respect for capable employee. No inside promotion focus more on outside applicant without knowledge of the field of work. no supervision on drug usage and disregard of safety and protocol measure when  someone is caught using them. Blame constantly thrown to other and no much people able to fix problems that occur.


Having worked at Robert for almost 10 years I can say with confidence that there is a major disconnection between departments, management and customer focus.
Co workers (office from administration to CSR Management) are not team players and find every way to make sure you are not successful.  Head office has an typical French attitude where they will not support you or allow you to sustain growth.  They simply do not care about their employees or co-workers.  It's not a place you want to build on your career.. it will destroy you in many ways.

a normal day at work there was ok i had a friend that worked with me would unload trailers together so it wasn't that bad working because we could talk and have smoke breaks and no one was bugging you while you worked but the only hard part was unloading fire places from the trailers we would get them about once a month so it wasn't bad at all but the best part was going home and sleeping obviously haha

I enjoyed my work experience at this establishment. The employees are kind although you have to make more efforts to be accepted when you come from an agency. It is scary to know you could be fired the next day if they don't need you. I had an opportunity to be hired but they would make me do work that management had to do and I was paid the same as everyone and when I talked about it I got fired. I'd say they need to do a clean up with their management and LISTEN to the employees.

i would arrive with a big coat because i was working in a big refrigerator, so i dressed myself not to be cold. then we would have a meeting with the boss at the beginning of the shift so he would explain what we had to do for the day. then i got on my small vehicle and with the small gunn i had i would pick what was on a certain order and complete that order. then i would go get another order and so on and so forth until the end of the shift.
