Gull LAke Centre

A typical day at work was around 15 hours of work every day and depending on the position that you worked you were also working closely alongside others. The community there is incredible; being the outsider is daunting however, they truly do their best to accept you as family. The management has an open door policy and are very humble about their leadership. The hardest part of the job was the long hours and the fact that you only got one break a day. However, since it is a summer camp it was not strenuous work and extremely enjoyable due to the incredible culture of love and acceptance.

there is no average workday at gull lake. theres a fantastic community in this place and many great times were had. although the hours are long and pay is little the reason youre at gull lake isnt money. you go there for community and a chance to make an impact on kids lives.

I LOVED working here. It's a place where you can grow with God as well as in your leadership skills! The downsides are the pay isn't good for what you are working and that you hold a lot of responsibilities. I was a cabin leader so I worked with kids a lot which is so energizing but can also be draining with the amount you are working and lack of sleep you are getting.

The camp has since removed the position I was at in the kitchen due to the lack of community experience. Overall Gull Lake Centre is an amazing experience, I adored the children, made many friends with my coworkers, and connected with myself along the way.

I loved working here! Great people to work with and I felt really supported by management.  As a people person I really enjoyed working with all of the different groups coming and being able to use my costumer interaction skills.  It is a non-profit so the pay isn't super great but you are participating in a ministry.

The staff at Gull Lake is incredible; you will make friendships that last a lifetime. The work is meaningful and fulfilling; connecting with kids and helping them live life to the fullest. 

This places culture is amazing. You will gain so much from working. You very likly if you are willing to, make life long friendship and fine fantastic support. The pay isnt great however in the summer you have basically no expenses so it make up for that a bit.

Was 8-12 hour days every other weekend. Pretty healthy environment, music in kitchen and hangout spots during breaks. Received free lodging and meals during work weekends. Pay was a bit low but not the worst. Head chef cared for all employees and wished for all to learn and be able to grow to do more.

Long days, but packed full of fun activities and awesome people. Lots of pros to working here, there are times you need to be a leader, as well as times where its okay to just be silly and have fun.

Super great team to work with an amazing experience, great culture to be involved in overall a great place to work and to make a difference. They are motivated to make sure each camper that goes to camp will be loved and enjoy their time as a camper.
