Unpaid wages, uneducated management, forced overtime, and terrible benifits are just a few of the cons of this toxic work environment.

There is zero accountability or sense of responsibility in the workplace. Management that lacks respect for most employees, except a few favourites, causes a very exclusive and disrespectful feeling towards the people not included.

Newer employees are expected to grind away all day to meet production quotas while a large portion of senior employees spend their day chatting and smoking while contributing very little to the days demands, higher level employees and management included.

The company runs off of a merit system for promotions and salary increases that is completely ignored and distributed in favor to a handful of employees that are favored by management rather than employees who put in the work.

A revolving door of human resources employees should tell you everything about the turnover rate, office and warehouse included as there has been mass layoffs and catastrophic amounts of essential staff quitting with barely any hires to pickup the slack leaving most employees overworked.

Poorly maintained machines that borderline unsafe, a dirty work environment with poor air quality that is almost unbearable in the summer days.

I can't stress enough how bad of an environment it is at hadrian and would never recommend it to anybody looking to make something of themselves.

I've been working at Hadrian for less than a year but so far and I love it! This is the best company I have have ever worked for. The pay is really good, I have great benefits, and the people have been awesome. The owners and managers are friendly and caring, my coworkers have been very welcoming and the culture is positive and supportive. There are regular employee events like so far we have had a soccer game, an ice cream day, a BBQ and Golf Tournament this summer. My safety shoes and safety glasses were covered, I received a great bonus due to high company production/profitability over the last few months, and I really enjoy coming to work every day. It's a medium sized company and it's really been growing lately so I expect it's going to continue to get bigger and offer lots of room for personal and professional growth.

There's always music playing out on the shop floor and pretty much everyone seems to be pretty happy here. :)

My experience over the past year and a half has been very positive and filled with a lot of change from an acquisition in Calgary to COVID to being acquired by Zurn Industries.  Strong focus on the customer and being a world-class supplier.

The Company has taken COVID very seriously and responded by putting many safety measures and protocols in place to protect their associates.  

There is a high degree of tenure within the organization which can make change more difficult to adapt to.  Very collaborative culture - people are willing to help out cross-functionally and work together to solve problems.  New hires are welcomed into the fold and you can feel comfortable asking anyone for help/information.  There is a strong desire to make you successful in your role.  Personal development is highly encouraged and there is a generous tuition reimbursement program available to all associate.  

The new parent company has brought additional tools and resources and is focused on continuous improvement. It's an exciting time to be a part of Hadrian as we continue to grow!

This place is a disgrace. The lack of respect and professionalism would have to improve to be appalling.

If you are not one of the privileged expect micromanagement, stare downs, and being questioned on every minute of your day.

The upper management is clueless and care free of the ongoing toxic environment on the shop floor cause by all the middle management. The Hadrian solution is to fire people in waves that they don't like for there own delinquent reasoning. This so that they can keep trying to run it like the breakfast club movie.

This place is extremely hot in the summer with no ventilation in the ceiling. There are toxic paint powders, steel dust, and wielding fumes that do not have proper air filtration or ventilation.

The benefits at Hadrian are almost none existent. You can't even clean your teeth every 6-9 months without paying out of pocket.

It's not worth 1 star. I hope you don't make the wrong choice working here as I did. There are better places out there. This is not one of them.

The senior leadership is highly invested and extremely warm. As a rule management is positive and encouraging, in the marketing & sales department I feel extremely valued and nurtured -- training and professional development is a priority for my manager.

To take this position I turned down roles which paid a little bit more or were in more glamorous because I was looking for a stable industry that offered good work-life balance and a good corporate culture. I feel like I made the right choice. My coworker are by and large very friendly and helpful.  My work is interesting and enjoyable, though sometimes I have to print labels, which I hate . . . The expectation is that our work is impeccable but that working hard should not interfere with having a personal life or a family. 

I would recommend Hadrian to any job seeker

My first day was great the full-time person I was assigned to was very helpful his Training Method was easy to understand and I was learning very quickly however once Day 2 and 3 hit my experience went downhill I don't know what it's like for a man in that environment but if you're a female going into that workplace it's horrible you have to be very attractive to maintain your job there it has nothing to do with brains you are not likely to get full time if you are female it's more a male-dominated environment and management is very ignorant they are not helpful and they sit in a click with the workers and they base their decision on who stays and who goes based on who sits with them to have a smoke it's horrible I hated it and would not advise any female to ever work there. Everybody starts as a temp it takes a year or longer to even get full-time.

Air quality is terrible there. If you dont go for smokes or to the bar with the head honchos you probably wont be liked as much. No chance for advancement or to grow. They lead you on for a while then replace you with temps. Job security sucks there ive seen so many people in and out there. They had a huge lay off. The company has no consideration for you as a person. You will be treated like just another bumble bee making honey. The supervisors run the show like they measuring who got the biggest....you know what.  They make a bunch of promises to promote you and never happens. Wouldn't recommend working there at all. Everything there is half broken so you can never do your task properly and end up hurting yourself.  More than a few screws missing in that place.

Great place to work.  Hadrian's executive team is transparent, communicates well to staff.  Some may not agree this, but from personal experience executive team has been very good overall for the years I've been with the company.  However, few middle managers need to do better communication as a liaison between staff and executive team.  Very good work-life balance, dog friendly environment (in the office).  Only downside is that Hadrian is now under Zurn (US company) who acquired Hadrian in late 2020.  My experience with Zurn was lack of communication / leadership from their department head.

Even after recent ownership changes, Hadrian continues to be a great place to work. Hadrian is focused and driven to give their employees great opportunities. Inclusive teamwork at all times and the culture is excellent. Customer is always top of mind driving the way we work and deliver on time. Management and leadership has growth mindset, always innovating to be the best in delivering a superior client experience. They are supportive and encouraging, providing a good work/life balance, which for me is important.


I got in to Hadrian through temp agency, AppleOne. I am required to perform all of the duties of a full time employee but, without any benefits and no pay parity.
Hadrian likes to string you along and then ditch you with no warning. Their HR/hiring process is convoluted and extremely confusing. You are afraid the job is going to disappear at any time.
On a positive note, the B shift Supervisor and his Lead Hands are very experienced in all aspects of the duties required of their workers. They have made working at Hadrian an educational experience.
