Depending on how dayshift went would really determine what our night was like. Some nights its so bad we work through the night non stop, other nights we can get through all our primary duties in the first half of the night. Its very demanding, dirty work that can sometimes seem overwhelming. We work in a small team of 3 maybe 4 guys sometimes. We all work very closely together, and we have to rely on one another repeatedly throughout the night in order to get our work done efficiently without killing ourselves. 
The management are slow to move on things.
The culture is friendly with a little bit of bitterness mixed in.
The hardest part is trying to get other shifts to take better care of the machines.
The most enjoyable part is the guys you get close to on Graveyard Cleanup. It's kind of a unique group.

old school green chain mill (bin sort is being added), management is very dismissive and inflexible, there is a high degree of  nepotism with in the company. pay is middle of the road which is to be expected of a privately owned mill of this size. 110% is expected of you 24/7 and safety is not the first priority. the swing shift is a hassle but is pretty common in the industry. only thing i enjoyed about this place was the crewmates most of whom were great to work with.

-poorly managed, superintendent has no regard for his employees and many concerns go unaddressed
-hard work, green chain is fairly labor intensive though i understand a bin sort is being added to up production
-middle of the ground wages hardly comparable to union mills  
-lack luster benefits and pension
-swing shift
-overtime is not 4hrs but rather a full second shift if working on Friday or 6hrs if monday-thursday
-dont expect to be appreciated
-do not get hurt unless you want to get fired.

2 week rotation, nights to days ruins social life and relationships. 
The pay is alright, its a constant 40/hr weeks with the chance of overtime
Has decent benefits including dental
Good crew of guys, all pretty chill and like to try to enjoy work
Management is mostly garbage, expects lots from you with no recognition.

Excellent place to work as long as your willing to put in the effort you will make it far and get stronger and your stamina will grow. You work your way up and salary is more then generous

Halo Sawmill competes in a tight market that provides custom cutting for the lumber industry.

Hard work, good for money, safety is priority.  Management is wishy washy but the crew is great.  Lots of life timers and they let you into the halo family pretty quick.

Good place to work if you want to make forestry and lumber production your career. Some good people and management is flexible. Pay is ok, but union Mills are better.
