From what I heard, Halton Honda was a great family business to work for. This quickly changed after probationary period was up. The constant threats and ultimatums made by management to "scare" employees into compliance. Constant changes with no communication. No "team" effort, everyone is always out to get one another, point fingers or prove that they are better than the next. Expected to pick up shifts (even when outside of contracted hours), and if you're unable to do so they will take it out on you. Expected to take on new tasks or job positions with no raise. No regard for work-life balance. This company will continue to have issues with staff and turn around until they make changes and care about the well being of their employees. 

The culture used to be enjoyable, the fixed ops manager retired and everything in service went down hill.  He was the glue that held it all together and the person who replaced him, cares more about hitting numbers, then his employees or actually caring about customers concerns.  The dealership now has a high turnover rate than ever before as culture has plummeted.  High quality technicians who actually care about the vehicles they are working on, and are so helpful and always going that extra mile. 

toxic workplace, from day 1 management was talking about backstabbing others. i felt like an experiment through out my experience there. I come to work to make money but was overworked due to the lack of organization. Free food on weekends, they need to learn to appreciate employees and not reward favouritism, which is what is happening here unfortunately.

Not a friendly Environment. Constant backstabbing and management cares only about themselves. From the shop to sales everyone is treating like a number, they make it clear you are not important and that there’s hundreds of others they can replace you with. Management is constantly trying to save every nickel they can and every nickel comes off the back of the workers . Very toxic work environment environment.

GM doesn’t have a clue. Keeps making change after change and blames others when they don’t work. 
Expected to work long hours and made to feel bad when taking time off. 
Culture is “who’s fault is it” and pointing fringes when things go wrong. 
Techs are encouraged to over sell. 
No respect for customers or their time.

From you clocking in to around 1 pm is a constant high-stress environment to get all deliveries done. After that, you work on used cars sitting on the lot, but they are usually filthy, and you end up working for free since they don't allocate enough hours for certain vehicles.

They don’t care about your well being here. Take advantage of you. Very toxic place to work. They make it known that you are easily replaceable… only notice negative things. You will never get recognized or rewarded for your efforts here. Stay away! Extremely difficult to book time off.

Staffing and management changes have taken place.  I worked with a much different team than there is now.  Was family run and felt like a nice environment until the owner passed away and the changes all took place.

The dealership has been the same and stale position for a long time with the old school way of doing business.  Change is not easy but it's necessary in order to grow and we have that with new management we're growing and adapting to the digital age which the past management lacked.

there wasnt any room for advancement and no matter how hard you worked something was always wrong. managment was never happy with the employees work in most departments
