Worked there for 5 years at first I was so happy to go to work every day and work doubles. But as time went on working there was not easy due to the extreme bullying from co workers, management never had your back when you brought up the meanness and number of times it happened in front of the charge nurse who would shrug it off and ignore it. It’s a small building which made it hard to work feeling comfortable or without anxiety because you can’t hide from the nasty co workers. You work short numerous days in a row due to burnt out and management can’t ever fill the shifts. The work load is very heavy which I didn’t mind but it can be hard and over whelming especially when you don’t have co workers that want to work as a team. Over all the residents are amazing and that’s what you go to work for. But working there is like being back in high school with the clicks and catty behaviour and management will not have your back or protect you. 

I worked at Hampton for 5 years. They've let go all good RNs and RPNs before they realized that management was not just bed but thiefs and criminals. Our admin at that time hired whole family, they've renovated and build homes on expense of the company. At he other side- they won't approve 1 minute of overtime. 
I am glad they are all walked away, but it looks like damage can not be fixed
However,it was nice  place to work ,I met some nice people there who also left for same reasons as I did

The only good thing about this place is the residents. The management refuses to properly staff the floors and as such leaves you short staffed and do unsafe lifts and care. If you file a complaint they retaliate with threats, and if you speak up too much they happily dispose of you. Also heaven forbid you go back to school to better your career, they will happily fire you or anyone going back to school if it doesn't benefit them in the short term. If they can't fire you, they in turn make your life horrible.

Love working at Hampton. Management is supportive and everyone is a team player. I never feel alone or unsupported in any way and there is a wonderful workplace culture here. There are also lots of opportunities for growth if you want it and you are supported with your career goals, whether that's staying at Hampton or going back to school. Definitely one of the best long term care homes around, for residents and employees.

I had 12 years of employment at this facility.  It was a great place to work for 9 years.  Unfortunately, we acquired new management.  Within one week of this occurring, our Administrator, Office Manager, Accountant and Director of Care walked off the job. Since, that point all aspects of the long-term care home went south.

Worked here for many years. There's been a lot of changes but I think it is for the better. Management staff did change, now they are more involved, the last ones mainly stayed in their office. Probably why other people's comment is negative because they can do whatever they want. Communication could always improve but overall, it is better. If you do your job well, you won't have any problems.

The ratio between staff to residents is awful.  They have 2 psw’s and 28 residents.  The staff fight over who will get the 1 float.  Management friendly but offer zero help to resolve any conflict.  No help on the floor from anyone.  Nurses will look for you to tell you a call bell is ringing even though you are assisting another resident.  They have actual crank beds and old lifts that break every shift.

I love my job, but status has changed. Facilities are at full capacity with more complex care needs and limited staff. The writer medicates 50 residents twice a shift, treatments and all documentation required and sometimes taking work home.

A typical day is busy like all care facilities, but the residents are great and the staff are nice. Management is good and is involved in a good way, they will respond to your concerns.  Best part is co workers and residents. Wages are very good . Right on the bus line.

Great place to work, friendly environment, positive atmosphere, provide staff education, in-services and management is great, I never have concerns they are extremely dedicated to the care of the residents.
