What is the best part of working at the company?
Coworkers are friendly. Lunch break is paid. Benefits and pay are comparatively good.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Making sure you complete your tasks on time and without errors.  The consequences of making a mistake are very serious, including very high fines, and you are reminded of that often.
The environment is toxic due to the actions of management. Your breaks are 7 to 8 minutes each and your lunch is 18 minutes. If you are late, even by a minute, you get written up.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The good things are the pay and most coworkers are friendly.  The bad ones are the company is top heavy. The only way you move up here is by who you know not what you know. Pressure is on you constantly and you are a number not a name. The worst place I have ever worked.  Do yourself a favor and don't work here.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The typical day for most is predictable.  You will have two 10 minute breaks and 20 minutes for lunch. THIS INCLUDWS TRAVEL TO AND FROM YOUR WORK AREA. So this actually means you have two 7 minute breaks and an 18 minute lunch. You will be reminded of the consequences of your mistakes.  Never be late!

Within the last year this company has went downhill. Continuously laying off people, losing contracts left and right. It's become such a toxic and negative work atmosphere. The only benefit of this place is a Monday to Friday schedule and for the most part your colleagues are who gets you through your shift. The company is in the midst of changing ownership and the staff can feel the pressure. The loss of hours the layoffs the loss of contracts continuously going home because there's not enough work has brought so much negativity to the facility. And management don't even care.  It's so toxic they never have an answer for anything and they'll tell you they'll get back to you with one but never do. The micromanaging on the shifts has gotten out of control. The shifts are continuously getting new supervisors. Safety is definitely not first priority here, it's just get the job done & quickly.  For what this job pays is not worth the stress and the headaches that you take home with you daily. 

The pay is good. Most people are good. Most Supervisors are good. The MTA part of the business is nuts. Not enough room for the amount of work. Things are on top of each other. Bosses get in moods because things arent getting done on time. Highly stressful. Lots of new hires hate the job. You cant have any mistakes or youll be fired 2 or 3 days before your 90. (Late. Call in. Leave Early due to sick. Diff of opinions. Ppl just dont like you. Accidents. Orrrr in my case finding out Im pregnant). 
Dont choose midnights if you want to make your 90. The whole team left for other shifts before I was last go. High turn over rate right now. 

The Union is a joke. I made a huge safety complaint about Supervisors walking in a busy area without saying they are there... BECAUSEEE we as drivers know its on us is an accident occurs... and I was close to taking one boss out who jump out behind a roll of paper.... Im known as a trouble maker with the Union because I dont roll over and keep my mouth shut when it comes to my life.  Im sorry its my butt and I will protect it.

This company is completely terrible to work for. There is no safety at all and the management is thoroughly incompetent. In the time I worked there I saw so much that the Ministry should be in there to investigate from the bottom up.

All that aside they like to shoot their mouths off about their culture and how they are family oriented which is a load of garbage. You will be lucky if you even get proper training for the job they expect you to do. Don't be fooled about the salary offered because what they will put you through will be far more of a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and grief, go down the road to the other companies and apply there. This company is a waste of time to work for. There are other companies out there which pay the same for far less headaches and grief.

Variety of shifts and types of work. Many different machines to learn/ operate. Internal moves preferred to outside hiring

Can be some nepotism and favouritism.

Transloading and storage commerical products and building materials and defense industry related activities. 
Culture is ±neutral.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clock in. Team meeting: company news/ updates and work progression communication, receive task(s), perform task(s), get more if work day isn't done, clock out.

I've been with this company for over 5 years and each year just gets worse then the last. Our union reps does what's best for him and the company and not the employees. The management has no clue how to run the wearhouse and has lost several contracts in the last few months due to there incompetence. The employees I work with are the only saving grace this place has as most people are friendly and a joy to work with. But overall we are understaffed, overwork, mistreated daily and underpaid for the work we do and are constantly working in the grey area of safety as they will not provide the proper tools or equipment.

I plead the 5th, i have no opinions

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unorganized in every way , 0 proper training, supervisors come and go. I had to wear socks on my hands in the winter , working outside, because they were managing gloves use, constantly looking for tools to work. The only time people smile is when they leave. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Poorly trained union reps. Toxic

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Counting down the minutes to leave, and waiting for break to see if i got an email for a new job

Co workers are great people to work with. Upper management not so much.  Often they keep people they have no intention of hiring and then get rid of them on day 89 of the 90 day probation period. The union is kind of useless to new employees.  Often had to lift bulky heavy items from racking at a very high height. Often had to lift 100 to 150 lbs steel plate alone with no lift assist. 

Direct management is very considerate to needs and concerns of employees.  Extreme responsibility on Office Coordinators which depend on warehouse staff.  Very fast paced, great teamwork, friendly and fun atmosphere.

This is a fun and busy place to work.  You Start out with updates on reports from the previous day's production, and continue on processing orders and kits to be sent over to our client.  The people are wonderful and friendly, and all cooperate with each other.
