This was the strangest place that I've ever worked at and I've worked at many manufacturing facilities. Looks wonderful at first but the sugar coating wears off quickly. Lots of promises initially but NO raises in pay no matter how well you perform or exceed their expectations. Lower management is run by mellennials with cel phones and tablets with no real managing experience. Upper management (the BOYS club) are all connected just like politicians lining their pockets and their friends pockets. The CEO and others from upper management would stop in and never introduce themselves or even acknowledge that you even existed because you don’t matter whatsoever. All they're concerned about is Hexo's Image, numbers and looking good for Investors. They change direction in a heartbeat and willing to lose millions of dollars on many occasions but the top brass (the BOYS club) still make lots of money at the workers and investors expense. HR is a joke if you can find someone who hasn't already left. I would not recommend this place unless you are very desperate. Everyone that can leave does so at their first opportunity. Like I stated it's a REVOLVING DOOR with lots of unhappy people. Stay far away from this Grand illusion if you can.  

First of all, we get payed minimum wage for doing hard labour, working in  40°c + greenhouses, and forget water breaks!that ain't a thing!! . We plant, maintain, harvest, process all of the marijuana to make it perfect for the consumers, and get payed 12.50$?!?! While you go work at a cannabis store and get payed 14$/h....? I got a yearly raise of a whole 5cents. Yeah, 12.55$/h wow!! The management and human resources don't care about the employees. They glady rip you off from your barely livable salary and do not care about your health and safety! Fun fact They made us work in a greenhouse that was still under construction. We were planting  while people were welding on top of our heads!! So many people got injured yet nothing was done.  So if you're interested in sweating, dehydration, being broke, and reaking of weed 24/7 for 300$ a week, all while management and human resources sit on their bums and do nothing to help you, this is the right place for you! But I mean.... you're working with weed so that's pretty cool lol and there's a couple of cool people there but they mostly just hire anyone and half of them can't do their jobs right.

At 21, I am injured, possibly for life, because of the repetitive and highly demanding nature of the job i had, and live in constant pain. On top of this, it's a toxic place to work for sure, management is so disconnected from reality it's almost a joke, working conditions and air quality inside the building lead many employees to develop allergies, and many of my coworkers complain of the same repetitive strain injuries. Leads, with an inch of power, let it go to their heads, and supervisors care more about keeping their friends around than anything else. And if that's not enough to deter you, corporate has a revolving door of CEO's, and they're closing facilities left and right. Hexo is not where you want to be if you plan on keeping your job, they pretty much do layoffs more often than they do health inspections. I loved learning about the job, I loved my coworkers and made great frineds there, but that company did nothing but leave us all stranded and worse for wear. Don't work here, you'll regret it. I will for the rest of my life.

As a security guard at HEXO, I have been very impressed with the company's commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for its employees and visitors. The company's security team is highly professional, knowledgeable, and proactive in their approach to maintaining a secure workplace.

I have found my colleagues to be very supportive and approachable, and they have always been willing to share their expertise and experience to help me grow in my role. The management team is also very supportive, and they are always looking for ways to improve the security team's performance and effectiveness.

Overall, I would highly recommend HEXO as an employer for anyone looking to work in the security field. The company's commitment to safety and security is second to none, and the team is made up of some of the most dedicated and professional individuals I have had the pleasure of working with.

When I first started working there almost 5 years ago, I could say it was a nice place to work even with the very low salary they offered for the work that was done. 
However, soon the backstabbing started and there was a lot of favoritisme. Some employees were allowed to do overtime but others no. 
When we complained to our manager about some problems we had regarding the attitude and lazyness of certain employees, the only answer we would get is: Ho well...ot is what it is ! 
With time, they gave us a better salary but still after working 4 years for that company, I was earning the same salary as someone who just got hired and had no experience ! 
Very poor management, lots of employees leaving after a couple of months working for this company. 

Management has difficulty understanding information technician would given them. Unable to decide priority called and scheduling service calls. They tried to implement new tracking software which was very unreliable and glitchy. The trade and the maintenance department was build With very willing and able people but handcuffed my the office in the decision they were able to make. Upper management was more interested in buying more business then service and maintaining there business. The fall was seen by most people in the company 

Pretty much filling bags with pot or endless counting. It's a super easy job and the money is ok for Belleville but that's about it. Micromanagement  runs rampid at this place so be prepared to be told  how to do something 4 different ways by 4 different "higher level" staff. If you make a mistake  don't worry, you're under HEAVY servalience and they will catch it. Health and safty is contradictive so yeah, don't touch anything but also don't not touch anything. Just a lot of odd at this place and way to much management. 



They say all the right things make you feel like part of the team at first. But that will not last. They reward lazy people and punish the hard workers. If you are not in a certain group you are. They are very saftey oriented to a certain degree however don't take suggestions very well. I don't recommend this place for people that just want to do a job and do it well. If you want to be treated with phony inclusion work there.

Zero training. You learn on the floor by watching and shadowing colleagues with time restraints and task responsibilities being their top priority. A lot money spent in management, HR and other areas but none on training (I mean zero training other than the shadowing mentioned). 

Difficult breaks and lunches due to undressing from work clothing to your own, then back from your own to work clothing (boots, hair nets, masks, gloves, overcoat and hard hat). Eats away at allotted break time.

While Hexo certainly had its stressful moments, I can now look back and say this was truly a remarkable company to work for. Career development? Check. Friendly work environment and coworkers? Check (with the exception of the GM). Hexo was a company who cared for you and made you feel involved, included, respected, and most of all, valued. They understood the human aspect of management, and they took good care of their staff. It’s a shame the site closed. I’d love to go back to the glory days. Just once more.
