This is a place that you see from the side and it looks for you as a decent and fancy workplace, however, when you are already in for more than a year, you can have a solid understanding how the company by management's hands devalue your work enthusiasm and  hard work. They do not need pros and ppl who knows what they are worth; they like ppl who sits and silently do their job not reacting on wrong doings or new crazy hr policies implementation. There are no employee appreciation, no culture - you gotta come, report reason for even 1 min being late and just keep your nose to the grindstone. Oh, also, you won't have time for a proper lunch - the culture is in to eat at your desk. There is absolute favouritism going on. Some ppl can get one to three months vacation, when others will be asked why they need a day off. You will feel pathetic and low energy after seeing how no culture and management acts to ppl on the floor. Workplace full of gossips and rumours. There is literally no salary increase or even if you would successfully begged for it they will come down on you hard. Parking is crazy busy; they can't arrange it properly for employee's convenience, they just keep adding "reserved" spots for upper management reducing spots for ordinary mortals. They are lay offing staff who were dedicated to them for years in order to hire ppl who will agree on a low salary. Lay offs were happening in a very bad manner and this obviously decreased team morale and showed once again that they do not care you worked a month or years. You will be just let go with no compensation or appreciation for your hard working time there. Overall, the company's ethic is very poor. 

A typical day at work starts with checking the truck, reviewing the route, and keeping in touch with dispatch. Most days are busy but well organized. I’ve learned a lot about time management, route planning, and handling different types of cargo safely. Management is supportive and communicates clearly, which makes the job easier. The workplace culture is professional but also respectful drivers are treated fairly, and teamwork is valued. The hardest part of the job is dealing with tight schedules or unexpected traffic delays, but that’s part of trucking. The most enjoyable part is the sense of independence on the road and the satisfaction of completing deliveries on time. Overall, it’s a reliable company to work for, and they take care of both their clients and their drivers.

Work in the logistics department was quite measured. A typical day involved checking schedules, liaising with drivers and customers, and resolving current issues. You could always get feedback from managers, and the culture within the team was calm and without unnecessary pressure. I liked that I was given more responsibility as my experience progressed and could suggest improvements to the process. The hardest part is adjusting to rush flights, but that's part of the job. Overall a place for those who want stability and clear responsibilities.

The company has the potential to be so much more but management is keen on protecting their jobs and blaming associates for their lack of leadership. Management is more interested in creating problems, blaming someone for their problem, then acting like they are the only one who can fix it. It is a toxic culture where one mistake and you'll be let go without warning. 

Unless you're one of the few who have selective favouritism from management - they'll work you hard, criticize you constantly, then blame you for their mistakes. 

Does not pay O/T regardless of how many hours you work. Will only provide lieu hours which are very vaguely tracked. 

Avoid like the plague. 

Usually the day starts with a check of the route and documents, then departure - loading is organized, there are almost no delays from the warehouse. 

I have learned to navigate the documentation better and to resolve issues with customers at the point without unnecessary stress. The management is on point: if you work honestly, there are no complaints about you. 

The staff is polite, dispatchers are on the phone, no one yells or snaps. The hardest part is night flights and crossboarding, especially in winter. 

What I like most of all is that I don't have to yank anyone's wages - everything is on time and transparent.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The management is good and learnt a great deal of warehouse management techniques.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Picking is the most stressful part. Sometimes driver is on the dock and we start the pick on arrival.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great! The supervisors are really good and never let us feel the pressure. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Feels like home. I work there as I am the part of highlight. It has given me all what I have after coming to Canada. So I work like I am working for my own company.

I am so glad to be at this company, they could improve on the pay rate because for Dispatchers it's still barely minimum wage, not very easy to get promoted since majority of people there have been working for well over 5-10 years. The offices are very nice and clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The overall company is one of the best places to gain experience and it looks great on a resume once you have a few years under your belt. Vacations and time off are basically zero. That's one thing that really bothers me, however, I've never left the place feeling negative. I always feel happy that I have a secure job with a nice comfy office and nice people to see every day. Only money and work life balance need improvement.

Usually the day starts with a route check and departure, often across the border into the US. The trucks are clean and in good condition - this makes even long shifts easier. Management is respectful, dispatchers are always on call and ready to help. During the time I have been working I have learned to plan my time better and deal with unusual situations on the road. The most difficult thing is delays at the border, but the support from logistics helps me to cope. Most of all I appreciate the autonomy and stable payment. Great place for both experienced drivers and beginners.


The same wage per mile for the entire time I was there ,despite multiple requests for a raise. They withdraw ,a $50 , so called  "insurance " from drivers paycheck. Basically stealing . They raised mine to $250 recently and never explained why . Also removed my 2 cent safety bonus.  You will be doing city work ,multiple drops , in the L.A and San Francisco Bay area among other places , yet paid the same per mile rate and not the usual ,city driver , per hour rate. They don't clean spare trucks when your regular truck is offline for repairs even when you notify them several days before your trip . Overall just an unpleasant place to work at . Only stayed this long for the great mileage, 5000 miles +, and HL's proximity  to where I live.

The day usually started with checking tickets and calls - the tasks could range from tracking shipments to solving urgent issues on routes. 

I learned a lot about logistics and learned how to calmly resolve conflicts over the phone. 

The bosses were loyal - the main thing is not to keep quiet if you don't have time for something. 

The most difficult thing was the overload during hot hours, but you get used to it over time. 

What I liked most was that the work was lively and each day was different from the previous one.
