Typical days were varied and interesting. Good team feel and free communication/help/advice/support amongst us all.I enjoyed it for its versatility involving a lot of self management, time management and planning whilst always having to be responsive to unexpected contact from other people (inside and outside the organisation). Flexitime enabled me to take breaks when I wanted so I could fit them in at suitable times and I was able to work longer/shorter hours each day to suit.
I learned a lot about laws that are not just specific to the role I was doing, but that are applicable in other organisations. I also learned various computer skills. 
Management were quite productivity based and analytical. 
Co-workers are largely aged 30's onward. It creates a widely varied knowledge and experience of all aspects of life, some of which were useful to the job. Everyone's background includes a lot of varied personal and professional backgrounds and can sometimes be inspiring, educational and very respectable.
Hardest part of the job was dealing with unco-operative employers who would not impart necessary information, especially employee details required to do tasks such as compulsory Kiwisaver enrolment that should have been done by the employers themselves.I got around this by sending emails/faxes to identify myself and confirm our conversation.
Most enjoyable part was speaking to employers and discuss and educate them in how the specific tasks must be completed. The most satisfying part of this was gaining their confidence and educating them.

On a typical day I had to report to assigned supermarkets where I had to display the company's goods on the shelves of these supermarkets. I had to ensure that the good are displayed at a point where they are visible to the customers. I have learnt how to deal with persons from varying backgrounds and how the Food Manufacturing and Distribution Trade. I also was able to learn sales sales and marketing techniques. I was highly rated by my fellow co-workers as I was a great team players and a motivating individual. My manager always encouraged and respect me for the positive individual I am and my self-motivating capabilities. The hardest part of the job was to lift the heavy boxes and to compare with other companies' products for shelf space. The most enjoyable part of the job was surpassing my sales targets and when the customers are pleased my my performance,

A typical day at work would be ensuring I am early for my shift as everything is very strictly time managed. After setting up my work space i start to take calls and assist customers with their queries. 
I have a great manager who provides me with the support i need. We set goals together to ensure i continue to strive and grow in the work place. 
I get along with the majority of my co-workers and often socialise out side of work time with them.
The hardest part of my job is the verbal abuse i am faced with day to day. But i remember it is not personal, and i am there to serve the customer, assist them their frustrations and help them resolve their issues as easily as possible. 
The most enjoyable part of my job is helping people have a great understanding of the system and seeing them finally grasp the concept of taxes and how they work.

Travelling to Hospitals to meet with Nursing Managers to discuss their Rosters for the new system that was taking place. I learnt that we come across many different walks of life and no matter what your job description is, patience and kindness helps to get the work done easier. For me I did not find anything hard about this job, but if I had to chose it would be travelling to work which can take a while. But the atmosphere is great, because we all got along and that's a bonus to have. When everyone in your team and area is friendly and helpful to one another. I really loved travelling around NSW and getting to stay in hotels for a night or two. It was great to experience different towns.

Typical day at HM Revenue & Customs consisted of answering telephone calls from the public, assisting with claims answering queries, problem solving and keeping up to date with current guidance changes and legislation.
Colleagues and management provided support to ensure effective team work.
The most enjoyable part of this job; Providing a professional service and helping customers.
The hardest part of this job; Accepting not everyone is going to work as efficiently as yourself.

I was temping at The Inland Revenue for a short period of time completing tax returns. This was my first "proper job" and I found it really eye opening as to prioritising my workload, general office work, and office politics. 
 It was a great place to work and I worked within a great supportive team. 

The only reason I didn't stay was the travel, I didn't drive and having a young baby I didn't see 14 hours a day was hard work.

Typical Uk government department .. lots of reports to different stakeholders. love the immediate team. We had lots of fun. 
Decision making is very slow. Risk escalation routes unclear. Governance for the sake of governance.

Replying to customers queries either by telephone or in writing. Updating customer records whilst at the same time adhering to official guidance and keeping data secure all to a daily production target.

Alwful.

Terrible people who get away with appalling behaviours.

Given me depression and I am on tablets to ease my panic / anxiety attacks.  

No sense of any loyalty by one of my bosses.

I loved the opportunity working with a high skilled staff. I was able to learn multitasking and how to better do time management. I also enjoyed acting in different managerial positions.
