The staff was great,the employees were very helpful to me,my main reason for leaving this company was,my family.The shift work made it very hard to be there for my children,and currently went through a divorce therefore needed to be home when i had to be at work at night for my children.My hope is to be able to work at flooring and framing doing home renovations for many people employing my brother and children in the future.

Really great place to work as a tech. The benefits and RRSPs are great, the management is really nice and supportive, and there’s a ton of  support wether it be from supervisors or managers when out in the field. Huge bonus points for not having dispatchers send you places without your approval, as well as being able to schedule yourself around your schedule.

Haakon industries is a very open and friendly workplace, where they value involvement and positive growth. It has a very healthy team environment from an admin perspective, with encouragement to involve individual expression for improvement and encourages feedback for growth for the company.

Would only recommend working there if your only other option is flipping burgers at a McDonald's or something. Boss is rude, nepotism is rampant, work with a bunch of rude belligerents. A couple of the guys are great, dont get me wrong, but the other 90% is just awful to work with or around. Lots of other things to say, but won't get into it. All in all, leaving there is one of the best things I ever did.

The pay for the work that you do at haakon is not worth the hassle, also the out of the two managers for the floor one of them knows how to do their job, the other manager well he is stuck in a different time frame and is extremely rude and believes that nothing else matters but haakon no such thing as a life outside of work 

Pleasant company on the surface. Good people throughout. Highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce to work alongside. Fast paced environment. Rigid in their policies, lack flexibility in general in a lot of areas. Change is slow and an uphill battle. Safety in some ways is overlooked. Good place to get industrial experience but not a lifelong career.

Haakon ensures that all their employees are constantly busy and striving to making production safer and more efficient. Clean and organized shop providing the right tooling to ensure a great job is done every time. Great core of supervisor that are easily approachable and knowledged in most departments

Lots of training provided by the company.

The early morning but you get use to it.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Seem really family friendly place

Decent work / schedule but poorly run and directed. The place is a cesspool of ex convicts and offences that cant be listed. HR is the biggest joke of all. Supervisors are un-educated
