Close  to home,  and  full time  hours

Lack of Training,  no  policy on workplace  bullying and harassment, no  room for   advancement, lack of  policy on   compliance  and data protection,  lack of  human resources  management , lack of operations  management 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
stressful  at times,  phone  ringing off the hook,  and not enough people  in the office  during   busy times   to answer  the phones

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy from   9 am  to 4  pm. Phone  ringing off  the  hook,   and    customers   always    complaining    about their   craftsmen   showing up late  or not all to their  booked appointments. Then    chasing the  craftsmen down for  estimates.   Company  has no  policy in place  for supply  chain issues ,  or  understanding of the  net  zero  electricity grid   the   city  is  trying to  achieve

From the time of my interview I knew that I would enjoy working with everyone at Handyman Connection. I was very successful with all of the jobs they provided. They always provided me with the kind of work I was wanting to do, the locations I wanted to work in and with the amount of work I requested to estimate each week.  I highly recommend this company to anyone with construction experience wanting to work a very flexible schedule and estimate the type of work they are qualified to do. If we were not moving out of the area I would most definitely continue working for them.
You don't have to go out to try and find work. They provide you with all of the leads for you to estimates that you will need.

I learned Multi tasking at its best....the company was still all old school. Not computerized yet, everything besides sales were hand written. I learned how to balance 38 different craftsmen in 5 different cities. Answering phones and promoting work orders from potential clients, scheduling work for craftsmen, as well as getting daily reports from craftsmen. Filing paperwork/jobs complete. As well as electronic and regular mail. Faxing, photocopying and maintaining the office when the boss was out of the office. The most enjoyable part of the job was the interaction with the public and craftsmen.

*A company that peels off the Workers wage (Siphon Effect) and the worker TAKES ALL RESPONSIBILITY/INSURANCE/PERMITS/TOOLS. Better off with Own Business or work for Legitimate Employer/employee situation. 
*This is a weak type of pyramid scheme. 
*Anyone who assumes low risk (which this company does) in a partnership type of business situation,  is not to be trusted,  as the company has little to lose!

You are expected to travel for long distances to give a quote. Gas and mileage are your sole responsibility. Your estimate could be rejected and you go home with empty hands. You may go to 5 promised guaranteed jobs and drive from one city to another, and then wait for 3 days to receive a go for only one or none.

Jobs are vaguely given. You never know what you are walking into when they assign a job. They do not pay you for any estimates and their pricing is very steep which often loses the possibility of getting those jobs. They make excuses upon excuses and quote policies at you in order to not pay out what is owed to you. It is not worth dealing with their hassles. Terrible company to work for. 

they have a great job application....and a typical day is work until break then break for 15 minutes then go back to work until lunch. half hr later even though you feel like sleeping you work untillo the job is done. the most enjoyable about the day is looking at the work you have did and saying," that is a great job."

you get job opportunities that you decide if you want or not with no prejudice
you get awesome support from the office
you quote your own jobs 
they do all the formal stuff like professional quotes, billing collecting money and payments
highly recommended 

. They taught me that for some people, overtime professionalism just becomes a feeling, more than action. very insecure group. From what I experienced the fact that they didn’t need to do what they did, they seem like a group that hire people just to fire them for their own egos. Like a never ending game of gaslighting, that will never end because they don’t believe there’s life outside of them.
