The team that I worked with dealt with Accounts Receivables of US-based schools.  I enjoyed the challenges and the ability to learn new skills (in-house training courses, etc).  I was responsible for invoicing, working with customers to resolve any issues, collections of invoices, processing deposits and preparing and providing collections statistics/metrics to the 3 business units that I worked for.   The workplace (office) was difficult due to noise from others travelling - often made it difficult to make calls.  I was permitted to work from home for 2 1/2 years to be able to assist my disabled/ill husband (which I was very grateful for), and I found it much easier to work from home as it was a lot quieter.  The toughest part of the job was the excessive amount of work that was allotted to me - often working a lot of overtime (unpaid).  My team mates were excellent, hard-working people.

When you work for Harris Computer, you're just another employee number.  Management changes every few months and you're expected to work miracles.  They keep cutting staff and expect you to do the work of everyone else the cut.  There is no work life balance.
If you work there you should always expect the unexpected.  Always be prepared to be let go, always be prepared to be one of the only few people left in your department.  The more work you do, the more you get taken advantage of.

They do pay pretty decent, but when you calculate all the hours you put in, it doesn't end up to be what it should.   Benefits are okay, but health care gets worse every year.  Time off benefits are nice, but when you take it be prepared to get called and asked to do things.

Pros

- Lifestyle rewards that pay for some personal activities each year
- Insurance paid at 100%
- A gift for your birthday

Cons

- Salary is highly variable depending on the division you are working for. If you are not in the right division, you will have a bad time.
- They have no consideration for the people, only for the cash so if your company finances are bad, you risk to get layed off or having no annual salary adjustment.
- RRSP contribution can be canceled anytime if they feel the current market is not good enough. The RRSP contribution is given in one payment each year so even if you contribute to the maximum allowed but leave the company 2 days before the payment date you will get 0$.
- They have HR resources but it is only to look nice, They have no real impact even if we report problems.

- Salary is poor for the experience one may have. (underpaid and once you hit the cap in your position, you are stuck there)
They often will let their employees go to another job instead of giving more money to keep them. (they don't mind hiring rookies often instead of keeping stable staff member)
- Benefits are good.
- Management, it depends on who you have. Some good ones but some are awful.
- Perks, the do some social events sometimes which are good and can happen often enough but why salary brackets never change?
- Career advancement can be limited depending on what department you are in.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Work from home option for many positions.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The workload is beyond reasonable. The inability to utilize other business unit staff without management approval creates a barrier which prevents timely completion of tasks.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful because each business unit works in silos. Upper management fail to notify other business units of new business acquisitions which may or may not impact existing business units

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress and frustration rule each workday.

Management has been way too long in the company, their ideas are outdated and they are not willing to hear or entertain new ideas 

The GM is more of a product manager than a GM and relies on incompetent people to reach the financial goals. The problem lays on the fact that people have to work long hours to meet unrealistic expectations. 

In general is not a fun place to work, as always the people working make a difference, at the end of the day they try to make their days at the office fun but in truth they are unhappy.

If I were you, I would look somewhere else unless this is the only thing on earth and you find yourself in dispair

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great colleagues and team environment. I got the support I needed with new or complex tasks.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The company frequently changes its organizational structure due to mergers and acquisitions and my role was responsible for migrating content from the acquired businesses into Harris' SharePoint environment, which was already very disorganized and lacked governance.

Pros: Free breakfast on Fridays (no longer due to COVID), Company event such as beach day, corporate day, and other social events

Cons: Terrible management. Work is divided unevenly between coworkers, Upper management only cares about the money coming in to hit their bonuses. Hard to get help from coworkers as the work is not consistent between the different Business Units

When your company is acquired they provide minimum to no support at all for the current employees. They have no issue explicitly asking everybody to work harder so they can make more money minutes after a layoff announcement. 
Managers are the only ones to get a possible career progression and promotions.
The agile methodologies they use are nowhere near agile
Low wages and salary raise on top of all that

Handling incoming support calls from customers
Liaising with senior management, developers and senior management
Setting and keeping appointments
Learning new software product and their features on an ongoing basis
Management seemed rather hidebound and risk averse
