Heart and Crown

On a typical day I would come in to open the restaurant or to close. I would have to review all the daily fetaures for food and read up on the feature beer that we have on tap.
The managers would hold a preshift meeting with everyone from FOH. Then everyone would serve. My co workers were all nice, but I didn't like all of the managers. It seemed that they weren't appreciating their staff and sometimes I felt like they didn't like to work there. It was hard to have that kind of energy around and that is why I left that job and why I feel like it is only fr certain types of servers. I have a nice outlook on life and I'm all about building relationships and making them last and I felt as if they just wanted to make money of people and leave. The most enjoyable part about that job was never having to work doubles. I really liked working long shifts but i was still able to do something with the other half of my day.

A typical day at Heart &Crown begins with stocking up the section and informing the supervisors of any low product. When the restaurant opens, we concentrate on cooking meals and doing so as fast as possible without affecting the quality.

What I learned from working at the Heat & Crown is that I enjoy working busy dinner rushes and working as part of an effective team consisting of qualified management and motivated line cooks.

The hardest, although most enjoyable part of the job is working the busy lunch and dinner rushes.

Every shift is different. I enjoy being around people who are team players, have great energy and a positive attitude while at work. I make a point of connecting with our regulars, and ensuring that the guest feel comfortable and have a great experience. Customer service is very important to management, and the training received ensures that employees are well prepared for the fast-paced environment and responsibilities that keep the establishment running smoothly.

Every facet of the workplace includes high levels of structure to function efficiently.
Every shift involved a pre-shift meeting with reminders and goals for the day.
I learned how to work as part of a team and how to train new staff members in multiple areas.
Management was very helpful and considerate and hardworking.
Coworkers have established a "family-like" relationship amongst themselves.

I really enjoyed working at the heart and crown. It was definitely one of the best places I've ever worked. The managers always listened and everyone was helpful to one another, always working as a team. Things went smooth as everyone made sure of it.

I enjoy working in the bar industry, but I work long hours and sometimes it can be physically and emotionally draining to be exposed to loud music for a long time, and to deal with violence,intoxicated individuals and unpredictable behaviors on a daily basis;it is fast-paced,productive,with great professionalism, respectful co-workers, and a decent wage

It was great to work for that company, but my job was particularly dangerous because as a bouncer you're dealing with intoxicated people who's judgement and ability are sometimes impaired by the substance they've taken, it's best to remain professional, alert and respectful at all times I found.

Serving customers, Learned how to deal with all types of personalilties. Management needs improvement. Co-workers were amazing to work with. Hardest part about the job was dealing with management at times.

Insanely high paced work. constantly under pressure and put to a task. If you enjoy long hours thats the place to work. management and staff were really genuine people.

enjoyed my time here, they were a bit cheap but the tips were good so made up for it. if you want to make a lot of money fast then this is a good place...just need thick skin because some of the supervisors are tough to deal with
