Typical day at work was looking after residents making sure that they were taken care of in all aspects of life. 
My job has taught me how much care our seniors really need and appreciate what I have such as health ,family, and ability to make my own decision on life.
Very little interaction with management.
My coworkers were of different culture .  Very eager to work  and help when every required.  Our goal was working as a team and we could accomplish anything.  

The hardest part of this job was losing a resident after caring for them for a long period of time.  
 The  most enjoying part of the job was getting to know the resident and learning about them. One hears amazing stores unforgettable. Loved working with residents.

A typical day at work would be to help get residents getting out and into bed, personal care, bathing, toileting, feeding, charting, reporting. 
I have learned how to deal with the many different types of dementia.  
Management is easy to approach and will help in any way they can.
Co-workers are friendly and helpful and willing to work together.
The hardest part of the job would be the physical part of turning residents and repositioning.
Most enjoyable part is the time spent with residents visiting and caring for them and knowing you are making their day more enjoyable.

The coworkers were bullies and made me feel super uncomfortable

It’s very cliquey and like high school

Doing home care so I wasn’t at the hospital much

The hiring process is really easy but after hiring it is like a torture where they keep watching you all the time as if you are doing anything wrong.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything except the doctor who is an associate. He is really helpful otherwise the other environment is really torture

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and be ready to be watched all day long

fast paced, sometimes stressful workplace. 12 hour shifts are long. Many nuances to remember between the routines of the different shifts. Nurse in LTC is overworked because she is alone to do meds for 35 residents plus all the dressings and treatments. One more nurse on days and a dedicated night nurse would be beneficial and one more 12 hour care aide would help too.

I wish I read the reviews before working here. Everyone is constantly watching you and plotting your termination. I was surprised when I saw the pervious person's excitement when leaving but understood why later. There are many medical and dental offices out there, please save your mental and physical health by working somewhere else. The management encourages an extremely toxic work environment full of gossip and negativity. 

I enjoyed the people and the atmosphere, it was a fast paced environment that I found challenging during the day and self satisfying at the end of the day. I found the management to be to relaxed and if they had been more supportive things would have been done more sufficient. Overall good place to work as long as you are a very independent worker.

A good organization to work for - mostly unionized workers; SEIU and SUN.  Compassionate about health care in Saskatchewan.  Good pay and benefits and working conditions for the most part.  I believe driven by a very good intelligent CEO.  Lots of jobs to be had although mostly part-time.

I worked housekeeping in Heartland and the job part is okay I don't mind that at all it's just the people you have to work around that's very stressful . If you want to work here I would advise you to not try to make friends just work and go home stick to yourself

My job was usually to assist with morning care ..bathing assisted feeding ! I enjoy my job ! Assistant with mobility most all daily activity ! Transferring residence in lifts and assisted one on one assisted transfers !
