This place used to be where I thought I'd make my career.  It was phenomenal when I first started and they recognized my abilities and I was promoted quickly.  The pay plan for the service advisors USED to be amazing.  It was based on your performance as an advisor.  If you were great, so was your pay.  If you weren't, it wasn't.  They then decided to restructure the pay plan to be less about performance and more about random luck.  Your CSI score can unlock tiers of compensation.  What they don't tell you is Heffner Lexus service department is ranked in last place in both the province and country every single month.  You must then score above the average of every Lexus service department in the province.  Their average target is around 90%.  Some months it is 92 or 93%.  To unlock your pay, you need to hit 3-6% above that average.  Good luck.  You never will.  You will work im a basement at a desk that is literally falling apart.  

If you apply to this job, pay very close attention to the environment.  This is what the Heffner's consider a Luxury Brand.  They will treat you poorly while looking and sometimes creating every excuse they can not to pay you fairly.

HR is a joke. Management is a joke. They try and make it look like "one big happy family" but it's just a mask. People like to stab others in the back here. They don't take disabilities seriously. They care about no one but themselves. They're all about the money.
They have fancy parties and do fundraisers and stuff but it's only to make themselves look good to the public who doesn't know what goes on behind closed doors. All the employees know it's all BS. Ask any one of them. And I don't mean the ones higher up. Pay is garbage, no room for "advancement", and everyone is talking about you behind your back. Felt bad for this one guy who was having a hard time with mental illness. While he was gone away on leave, everyone made fun of him really bad. When he came back they pretended like it never happened. Sickening.

Take a drive through the parking lot and look at where the mechanics park, nothing but junk, go look at where the sales and service advisers park, Audi's, Mercedes and luxury vehicles. 

The mechanics keep the lights on in this place and the are treated and paid like third class citizens. This is what happens when soft, privileged white collar sons take over a business and don't reward the hard work of the people who contribute the most to their lavish lifestyle.

If you are hard working go find a place that rewards it, Heffners certainly is not the place for producers and individuals with work ethic.

Heffner is probably one of the worst places I’ve ever worked. Yeah they have good pay, but when you’re constantly scared of losing your job, your managers are horrible, you are bullied constantly, managers never bother to actually hear your side of anything, they let you go for no reason at all. I highly suggest that you look elsewhere when looking for a job. All they do is spread lies around that place about you, nothing is ever done about anything, and be careful when you get sick because you might just be let go for it. Every other part of Heffner was great, but customer service and management for customer service was absolutely horrible to work for 

Nice place to work in the collision shop good group of guys and generous pay and benefits.   

Poor management. Rude, unprofessional, unappreciative and any opportunities of advancement that were promised in writing in the job offer were never fulfilled.

Health and safety in the paint shop was very poor and if you raised concerns you were told to go home if you didn’t feel safe. 

Heffner is a relatively fun place to work at. Good pay, great benefits, some nice employees but some drama. 90% of the employees are related somehow so their jobs are secured. I got a raise after my probation ended and then a week later fired without a reason. Working the evening shift is a nightmare if you want to have any social life. Customers constantly dump on you because of mistakes by other employees.

The owners, the management and all my co-workers.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Absolutely nothing. Great atmosphere.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fantastic. Everyone there enjoys their job, which makes it a pleasure to go to work

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Quite busy. Shuttle driving and assisting where ever needed.

I did the porter position. My main responsibilities are sanitizing the vehicles and keeping the flow of the cars in the service garage. I also greeted customers and asked if they needed any assistance before them entering the building. The staff is very friendly and very patience.

What should be a great place to work but is falling apart dues to a lack of basic understanding from upper management. This dealership is stuck in the past and unable/unwilling to change thanks to a lack of leadership at the very top. 


Hours were good

Pay was decent

Unfortunately, Training and communication (with so many employees) is poor

Lots of High school gossip

Some employees enjoy preferred treatment
