Long Hours , no set schedule always on call. 12 hour shifts that can go longer. You basically watch equipment for movie sets kind of like a “security” but you aren’t  allowed to ever say you are security. Lots of standing or sitting in one place for 12 hours watching film equipment or helping cone/block streets. If you work on set as an LSP it has perks because you can meet a lot of people in other film field’s (assistant directors, set dec, camera ops) and make connections if the field is something that interests you. Free food also but only if you work on set filming days. overall not a horrible experience, can just get boring after that long and no stability its always on call. They preference people with cars sometimes, I would get more shifts than my sister who didnt have a car

If your looking to get into the tv and film industry in Ontario this is a great company to start with, this company will give you tons of work in season, your success will depending on your networking skills and availability. There are no benefits and the salary is not high, but if your not scared to work long hours and get down and dirty this place is a great job to start your career in TV and FILM.

Enjoyed dealing with individuals, busy lives, working all the time in various locations! Pleasant people, great food, not so great wages ($14hr). It was an amazing experience to be interested in the film industry.

What could be worse and tensed when You are not paid what you work for. This happens to me because of irresponsibility and animalistic behavior of so called staff.  I have worked almost 2 months ago but still not getting paid. They gave me orientation, sent me to location, I worked what i was told but they started bark or complain because of no reason. Its my bitter experience in my entire life.  

It's really a productive day no matter what shift you're on. Whether it be road clearing or background holding, you are never just sitting down and doing nothing. However, the shift could pick up a little more.

stack pilons together, place pilons on road,great management team,  the hardest part of the job was staying up some nights due to overnight shifts, the most enjoyable part of the job was getting to the duties and finishing them asap so then that way we are free for the rest of the shift and all we need to do is patrol.

Waste of time…. They are not very good at scheduling you. 

After orientation it seems very promising but I can assure you…. They really are not good. I kind of regret going to the interview, but I did get to add one more show to my experience (even though only 2 days). 

It was nice place work at if they increase the wages and giveb as more shift i would like to work their again ut was great family be part of tought me alot about day to day of how moves r made roll of each person in the movie/show industry.

Helie location support is a great supportive place to work. You get to understand the basic stepping stones of the filming industry and have many opportunities to further your position in the film industry.

Good job but sometimes the hours are unpredictable and the shifts are all at once or nothing for months.  A car is definitely an asset (but not always necessary).
