Where do I even start? All of these reviews from Kingston employees are true. There have been 4-5 Patient Coordinators driven out by toxic staff members and the Regional Manager over the course of 3 years. This speaks volumes for this workplace and I wouldn’t wish this toxic environment on anyone. It’s not worth your mental health and well-being. Management will ignore requests and concerns of you bring them to their attention, they favour certain employees and let them get away with whatever they want. Double standards and favouritism. Very cliquey, staff are constantly gossiping and looking to break another person down. One particular staff member stole and tried to pin it on others to get that person fired. This staff member will also edit and take control of the accounts and fudge and manipulate the numbers so that the office does poorly. I feel for anyone who has had the displeasure of being sucked into this place. Kudos to those who have gotten out. Do not apply here, you will be sorry.

Amazing company to work for. I have never been so happy with a job. It is fast paced which makes the day fly by and you are doing meaningful work to help the clients. Management and other employees at other locations are just a phone call away if you need assistance and they will always do what they can to help you. Management is understanding when it comes to work family balance. Covid19 has really showcased how compassionate they can be towards their employees. The company seems to have plenty of room for future advancements and position changes if you are willing to relocate. I have yet to meet or speak to another employee in the company that I dislike, every one is super friendly and down to earth. Overall a great place to work.

A very busy fast paced clinic with incredible patients. A highly rewarding place to work if you desire to see direct  health benefits from your assistance navigating through hearing loss.

The workplace culture is somewhat toxic when management refuses to identify problematic behaviors/attitudes from employees who display gossip and ill will towards others

The hardest part of the job is not being to help everyone who needs hearing aids for daily living due to financial barriers.

The staff is a clique and the regional manager shows no human characteristics. She can't feel or sympathize with anyone. There is no support working here, people at head office and at other locations are fantastic always willing to help and talk but the Kingston staff is judgmental and toxic. If they do not like you they will gang up to get rid of you with the help of the regional manager. I honestly felt like I was in high school again working with these 30 year old women.

I have worked for this company going on 3 years and I am amazed by the teamwork and drive of the people I work with. Many of the patient coordinators and Audiologists have been with the company for 15 to 20 years. There is a lot of upward mobility for people who have that ambition and the Managers are all seasoned Hearing healthcare professionals. I would highly recommend any position within the Helix family!

Great people to work with. Management is clueless as to what their teams need, but with a little bit of a push they can see things differently. Money is not appropriated well at times and some departments are treated very poorly. There are still a lot of growing pains being worked out here, but the potential is there and you can make it better if you have the right attitude!

I would never recommend anyone to work for Lifestyle Hearing. Patients do not come first. High turn over rate for a reason - they over work their staff, pay way to little and don’t care to solve any problems. Overworked and underpaid. Can get paid better and treated far better at many other clinics. Do not waste your time. It’s a disaster. I wouldn’t work there again nor would I recommend bringing any family members there.

Worked hard there for a number of years. Office staff worked as a team. Head office staff could be superficially nice, but if they say “Jump.” you’d better JUMP!…or have another job waiting.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the client interaction.  The office was very busy and had many walk ins.  A typical day was filled with appointment making, screening calls, 3rd party billing and patient inquiries in house and on the phone.  I learned time management is a key component to running an effective office.

This company only cares about the money...there is no caring about the patient. They pit employees against one another—very Machiavellian!
Their policies are in place to make the most money out of the most vulnerable people. This is a health care setting, not a for profit corporate setting. This company tries very hard to make it so!
