I've been working at Hellamaid for two years and I can say I've found my zen job. When I started, I was only working 15 hours a week, but now I'm up to 35 hours a week. The increase in hours has been amazing for me and really helped offset the crazy inflation that's happening right now.

One of the things I appreciate most about Hellamaid is the flexibility. I was able to negotiate taking Thursdays off, which has given me more time to spend with my family. The company is always willing to work with me to find the best schedule that suits my needs.

In addition to the flexibility, the pay makes the job even more worth it. Hellamaid pays more than other cleaning services in the area, and they also provide bonuses for exceptional work. Last month, I received a bonus for having the most 5-star client reviews, which was a pleasant surprise to say the least :*)

The management team is fantastic as well. They are always available to answer questions and provide guidance, and they are constantly looking for ways to improve the work environment. For example, there's a personal hotline just for cleaning staff that we can call anytime, and we also use a separate to share pictures of really dirty homes that we just have to pass. Hellamaid doesn't put us in hoarding houses or places that are sketchy (ie. smoking, glass, etc)

Overall, Hellamaid is an amazing company to work for. The increase in hours, the flexibility, the pay, and the supportive environment are all unique aspects that make it stand out from other cleaning services. 

Like all companies I think there will always be staff that are not happy. I can understand it's hard to balance the experience across all cleaners sometimes, but you really can't go wrong once you start showing up and putting the work in. Instead of complaining it's best to focus on doing a good job and make someone's day better. 

I worked here for less than a year, then quit. They favoured certain coworkers which reflected on the hours youd have/money youd make a week. They don't give you the tips clients give you online most times, be mindful of your pay stubs. They round down a half hour always, if you weren't there for the full 3 HOURS or so. Doesn't matter if you were ten minutes ahead schedule, they'll take a half hour off. They continuously tried to make me clean a home I had felt uncomfortable with. They are very flexible with work schedules, i'll give them that. But, i felt i was being punished for needing certain days off when they wouldn't give me the hours i of course needed to make a living after the fact. It is a very rushed business, if you go over the time frame given for a house they will get frustrated with you. The way they also communicate is very unprofessional. Overall i had a bad experience with them, maybe you wont but be mindful it brought on a lot of stress for me personally working for them. They also demand you to take photos of your work every time otherwise they'll believe you didn't do a good job, IF a bad review from a client gets back to them. The maximum hours I had ever gotten was 20-25 hours in a week. Even though, they knew I wanted full time hours. Plus, they do not pay for your gas, UNLESS you have a 5 star rating every month. But, even if you have that they'll only give you $50 in gas cards, but have you drive EVERYWHERE. In my opinion it's not worth it at all working here, they don't even pay for supplies, you have to fork your own money up. 

I've been working at Hellamaid for the past six months, and I can genuinely say it's one of the best decisions I've made. As someone who owns a dog, I really appreciate the flexible scheduling that Hellamaid offers. It allows me to manage my work-life balance efficiently and ensures that I have enough time to take care of my furry friend.

The team at Hellamaid is incredibly supportive and friendly. From the initial training to the ongoing support, I've always felt valued and respected. The management is approachable and truly cares about their employees' well-being, which is refreshing.

I started working at Hellamaid as a part-time cleaner about a year ago and it's been a great opportunity for me to earn some extra income. I was able to choose the days and hours that worked best for me, which was perfect since I had other responsibilities.

Over time, I was able to increase my hours and work my way up to a full-time position. The management team has been very supportive and has helped me develop my skills and increase my efficiency. 

The pay is very competitive, and I like that we are paid weekly. It's nice to have that extra income coming in on a regular basis. The work itself is physically demanding, but I find it very rewarding. It's satisfying to see the results of my hard work and to know that I'm helping people keep their homes clean and organized.

One thing to note is that the schedule can be unpredictable at times. There are times when we may be asked to work on short notice or have our shifts changed. However, the management team does their best to communicate any changes as soon as possible.

I joined Hellamaid last December as I was looking for additional income for my family. I was looking for something that was flexible, and also paid decent. I gave Hellamaid a shot because I heard alot of great things about them, and they have amazing reviews online.

The interview process was very natural. The recruiter was nice and asked some general questions about I was looking for. She also talked about what the job includes. You would need a car, a phone with data, and cleaning supplies.

They schedule you jobs based on your availability, and they also vet their clients (so we don't have to deal with any rude ones). Communication is super clear everyday, we use an app called Homebase to clock in and clock out our hours. Pay is weekly. 

The other girls I work are also very nice. Occasionally their are team members that give you attitude, but i guess you'll find that everywhere you go. Hellamaid takes team culture very seriously, so if someone is creating a toxic work environment, we just let the main office know and they will most likely let that person go. They do a good job at building healthy work environment.

Highly recommend working at Hellamaid.

I used to work for molly maid where I was making around $18 an hour as an employee. The work was fine, but the fixed schedules and limited control over my hours made it hard to balance my personal life. I had to wear the uniform (which were ugly btw), drive with someone the whole day in the logo'd car, you know the drill.

Switching to hellamaid in 2023 as an independent contractor has been the best decision I’ve made. I'm not gonna lie though, transitioning from employee to indep contractor was not easy at first, everything was new to me, made alot of mistakes.

Fast forward now I make $25 an hour and I'm the Queen of the road, the flexibility to create my own schedule has been a total game-changer!

I love being able to choose the areas I want to work in and plan my days around my life instead of the other way around. Whether I want to take on more jobs to boost my income or lighten my load when I need a break, it’s all up to me.

The best part? I still get a steady flow of clients without the stress of finding them myself, and the support from the Hellamaid team has been amazing. If you’re looking for more freedom and better pay, I’d definitely recommend making the switch!

I've been working with Hellamaid in their KW location since 2020. Management does a terrific job to recognize us and show us appreciation for our hard work. 

Not only do they pay us extremely well, but we also get to keep ALL tips, as well as receive seasonal bonusses.

Typical day is spent cleaning homes from the schedule we receive the week before. 2-3 homes a day (all depending on the availability we provide the company). 

Workplace culture is fast paced and team work based. We're all in this together, a great review from a customer impacts all of us in a positive way. 

Hardest part of the job is having to re-stock our cleaning supplies, as well as clean our tools between jobs. But this is part of the job, and it's important to ensure quality and safety for everyone.

All in all, I rate my time at Hellamaid 10/10. Sure there are some hiccups from time to time, but the company is really good at fixing mistakes as well as always asking for our feedback <3

I've been working with hellamaid for 8 months, and it's been a wonderful journey.

My day is focused on cleanings in the city of Waterloo. You update your availability on the scheduling software, and you get assigned jobs for the times and days that work for you. You need to have good working cleaning tools, and you'll need your own car to get to houses. 

We also use an app for clocking in and out of jobs. That way we are paid fairly every week for all the exact hours we worked each week.

Sometimes we are assigned within teams for big cleanings, so it's important to cooperate and work with one another. If a team member is not putting in good effort, or is displaying negative behaviour, the office is really good at addressing these issues. Positive work culture is very important for the company.

Every month we are given a monthly gas bonus based on the number of hours worked and our performance, this incentive helps alot.

I really enjoy the flexibility, good pay, and good respect given to me at Hellamaid. Looking forward to keeping this job for sure.

I've been working at Hellamaid for a year now (Calgary area) and it's been a really good job The team here is so nice and always helping out which makes it easier for someone like me who's a bit shy I love that I can choose my own hours I'm not a morning person so working later in the day is perfect for me, the pay is good too and they make sure you understand your paycheck which is cool cause numbers aren't really my thing, the job can be a bit tiring sometimes especially when it's a busy day but you get used to it It's kind of like a workout so that's a bonus It's really nice to see the clients happy when their homes are clean, only thing that's a bit of a hassle is getting to different jobs, I don't always have a car so sometimes it's tricky but the team is great about scheduling and helping out. Overall Hellamaid is a great place to work If you need a job with flexible hours and a friendly team I definitely recommend it (even if you're a bit shy like me you'll fit right in)
