Very diverse workforce with an abundance of newcomers to Canada and women in leadership positions.

Challenges are maintaining standardization of processes and data across multiple branches after rapid growth and keeping morale up with some branches struggling to adapt to new systems.

Industrial Rigging is a traditional field and Hercules is working hard to develop more modern technical systems and a progressive culture.
The riggers and inspectors are dedicated to providing a high quality product.

Toxic & high stress work environment ! 

Management belittle me, curse at me, made me feel unworthy, minimal raises if any at all, no room for advancement, high staff turn over, and lots of co workers go off on stress/medical leave. 

Don’t go to management with concerns about team members or safety concerns as they won’t do anything about it except to look at you as a disturber and blame you for everything, they don’t follow labour standards codes in concerns to bullying/harassment, all employees have a general contract but employer only follows it when they want to. 

If you want to work for a owner/managers that actually care about their employees and not treated like a number them this is not the place for you !!! Run as fast as you can !!! 



What is the best part of working at the company?
We had a great group in the Nisku branch that worked hard and wanted to make our branch stand out.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Felt we were not heard by Head office, and they were 3 hours ahead so getting things done quickly was not a possibility

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The Nisku branch had a great culture, we supported each other and all helped out in the other departments...Felt like we all wanted to achieve...we were a team.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
we all wore many different hats and did many different tasks that every day was a new challenge

Really bad company to work for. If you decline work due to safety reasons they will consider you being Insubordinate. The management will take your words and twist them. They will like to replace you as soon as you get close to your 90 days. Also the new manager is horrible and will look for ways to maximize his bonus even if it means breaking safety rules. The test station’s have not been serviced in years. Also their trailer is 3k over its limit and is a death trap.  The tools are mostly broken and unusable. The current leader of testing is a backstabbing tool. 

Worked here for almost 10 years, it has changed for the worse in the last 3 years.  Management keeps making jobs for Management and is very top heavy.  The owner keeps putting his kids and family in top Management jobs when they have better options with the current staff.   Extremely unrealistic goals with little to no help from the executive team, they just keep patting each other on the back while regular employees are struggling.   They laid off long term employees and rehire temporary workers.   Very toxic office environment, warehouse and office are at odds.  

With new renovations in the workplace, it is a comfortable place to work. Clean and organized. There are shared spaces to collaborate with coworkers and quiet places to work independently. The smiles and good mornings while coming into work each more really allow my day to start on a positive note. The team is incredibly helpful and have been extremely welcoming! Watching the team grow has been an amazing journey and I can't wait to see what this year will bring! C'mon 2024! We are ready and excited for new adventures. 

In the early days this company was a great place to work where employees felt valued and supported. Then the company tried to expanded to quickly and lost sight of the value of employees, people just became machines and numbers and it just became a revolving door for executive managers and employees alike.  The company goals were to far reaching and the direction changed like the weather and all the good people left. Then it seemed to just become another place to get a pay check until you could find something better. 

All of the good talent leave after a year or two (suddenly they are able to give you that raise you are looking for after you have made the decision to leave). If your looking for something stable and longterm this is not the company for you. The head office is located in Dartmouth and they are completely disconnected from the day to day operations at each branch. There is very little structure or leadership.

Stay away.

I have now worked here for nearly 7 years and in that time i have advanced plenty and have learned a lot of new skills.
We focus on working safely and creating a welcoming work environment to keep everyone motivated.
The Rigging department is challenging but well worth it if you are mechanically inclined and like learning new skills. We offer onsite training for everything with plenty of room for advancement.

The team in the field & serving the customer.

Business owners are out of touch with reality.

High stress and pressure with little to no HO support, unprofessional behaviour is ignored.

Meetings with minimal support. Push for sales only, challenges are ignored.
