Setting up/Cleaning up is pretty reasonable work. It was my first job so I learned everything I could. They taught me to serve, bus tables, handle cash/take-out, pack food, cook food, wash dishes, etc.. training was good, but manager expects a lot from you. Little staff means that new people stand out and it takes a little to fit into the family, but they're friendly. Sometimes the restaurant can be slow, but overall it was a great first job.

Working at Heritage Fish and Chips could be hectic at the best of times, and outright insane at the worst. This fast paced environment really lets junior level employees get a grasp of both their comprehension and multi-tasking abilities and prepares them to take on similar tasks in the fast-food industry,

Business varied depending on the time of day. I learned how to use a cash register and cook battered fish. My manager created a very comforting environment. Learning how to use the cash register at first was difficult. Learning how to cook fish had to have been the best part of the job

A typical day at work would consist of cleaning, organizing and re stocking. Cashier, serving, and kitchen duties also were a part of my daily duties. This is the first place that I began serving at, gained the typical serving skills along with new friends within the workplace.

i loved working there as i was new and that was my first job in canada so i was greatful to that employer .  I liked the management there , they were very nice to me and taught me nicely as i was too new for that type of work.

Fast-paced environment surrounded with lovely people to work with and work for. The restaurant is very family oriented and I still keep in contact with everyone! Taught me many of the skills I still use to this day.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The staff is the best part about the company! Everyone is welcoming and supportive.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Good Friday gets really busy.

Co-workers were amazing really made for a great time and was never a dull day. Always knew when to play and when to work. Management I a family run business but overall amazing 2 years spent here.

This job was a good stepping stone for getting familiar to the food industry and learn the basics of what working with industrial equipment is like.  The hours are pretty flexible but the pay was lacking.

A very fun and laid back environment with friendly staff and great manager. Sometimes its hard during lunch/dinner rushes, but the free time you get makes up for it.
