If you’re looking for a good place to work, run away from here. 
I was expected to do things that were not in my job description, and were not even remotely reasonable, and was not compensated accordingly. 
Residents are treated horribly if they don’t have the money that the manager wants, and Employees are Over-Stressed, Over-Worked and underpaid. Working conditions for Employees are horrible. Adequate training is not provided, and especially in my case. The lady they had training me ran all over the building swearing and spent half her time outside smoking instead of actually helping. It wasn’t until another employee stepped in to help did it actually get better. If not for her I would have quit. 
Manager is so inconsiderate of anything going on in employees personal lives. And will hand out discipline instead of being understanding, even when the employee is stressed and is nothing they can do in that situation. 
Manager is barely there, hands off her work to other employees instead of doing it herself, and is rude at best. 
If you’re looking for a good place to work with supportive understanding management, Run very far from here. You will get written up for just about everything. 

All staff works independently as part of one big Team under a Manager. The Leadership gives incentives by allowing each team member to elect a co-worker for being helpful or by making an extra effort or showing kindness at crucial moments. All workers are encouraged to be their best in a productive way which also provides the Senior Residents a safe and comfortable lifestyle. As a worker and Team member of Heritage House we all stay diligent, alert, quiet, and on schedule with our duties. We are working in a Seniors Retirement Residence so the overall mood is supposed to be peaceful and pleasant.

Steady work and tasks to get done by employer in a time based period, involving knowledge with power tools, measurements, and self knowledge of experiences with field. 

Use lots of time management skills to help you and the qualified staff to work steady and manage through the day.

Condescending and lazy head manager; believes that intimidation is the proper way to treat employees rather than encouragement

Over all the owner of this facility as well as the manager are doing an extremely awful job of running this place.
I would HIGHLY recommend NOT having a family member live here

The management have no respect for their employees, demand that tasks be done within unheard of time restrictions, and record every one of the workers faults, warranted or not.  In whole, it is an ungodly environment and would strongly advise anyone not to join this organization.  The staff are relentless in shaming any new employee and will devise ways to discredit anyone.

It’s an ok place to work.  Don’t really have any coworkers to speak of, so no real issues.  Residents are high functioning because it’s assisted living, which is nice.  Takes awhile to get used to med cart and accompanying software.  Pay is adequate but there is only cash in loo benefits which isn’t adequate for one person let alone a family.  

Highly recommend not working for this company due to there on site head manager of this facility , I've never met such a condescending human being in my life she loves to intimadate and find fault in all employees ,not to mention the way she treats residents , don't work here don't bring your family here simple !

If there was a gauge here to adjust it would be negative 20 for  management that would be more accurate.  She has no compassion or management skills what so ever.  If you have an aging loved one, I strongly suggest you DO NOT expect them to be treated kindly. It's a crime the place is still open. 

Heritage House, Guelph is a very great place to work with very friendly, respectful, helpful, supportive staff. Admires each individual uniqueness and understands each individual uniqueness.

Pay is really bad.  Place looks run down.  People being treated badly.  Most of the PSWS  are not certified.  They hire anybody off the street.  Its dirty and just not taken care of.
