Heyl is an amazing company. They always pay you for worked done every week. The company pays if you end up sitting waiting for loads. They pay for things like border crossing and they arrange or will pay for any cost unloading or loading trailers. They are willing to discuss upcoming loads you can haul. They work hard to give you the time off you need. They allow one dog to ride for a refundable fee. Each driver is assigned a semi and a driver manager. All their equipment is less then 5 years old with few exceptions like very low mile semi’s may be kept in service for a bit longer. Brake downs are quickly dealt with or  different semi’s are temporarily assigned. Drivers are never left to take care of paying for brake downs. Heyl is a female driver friendly company. 

Works out to less than minimum wage.  No overtime, paid only mileage, not the mileage driven what they decide they will pay works out to 75% actual driven miles.as soon as truck stops you are unpaid Management is terriable, acts like a college tenner position just collect pay and slide by.. Every solution to every issue is to burn up employee hours that are unpaid. Employee expected to cover expenses , then is charged to convert to canadian dollars then reinbursed. Costs you more than a bank, they also charge you to pay you. Bounus are not paid as stated. Would never go back to work there. Do not come close to alberta employment standards.

None really stressful about nothing

Mostly good but you do have some really stupid people there

No answer every day was different

In Alberta Costa $10,000 to get a class 1. The pay is not worth it when you don’t have much experience. Heyl gave nice equipment to drive, but that’s where the benefits end. The pay is low, the benefits are terrible. Resets on the road and no time to reset when you’re actually at home. I would never drive for a company ever again, and if the culture doesn’t change most companies will struggle to get decent drivers, if it’s not already happening 

Good company and great people to work with. Do not babysitting you while you behind the will. No pressure from dispetch. Trip planning could be better but it's transportation business so it changes all the time. New trucks and trailers. Greater shop but be ready to spend sum time waiting for your truck to be done. 

I have been here two plus years I have never waited for a back haul. The pay is excellent the most I have made as a OTR driver. Office staff is friendly and helpful.  Trucks are new and well maintained. Orientation is about three and a half days but it is paid for. I would recommend this company to anyone. Drivers are friendly and helpful.

Decent money if you go hard. No sitting always a load ahead of time. Speed 68. 70 if you need to pass. Monday cut off Friday payday. No problem booking time of with reasonable notice. If in Calgary suck because driving to okatoks yard. 

They won't force you to drive in unsafe conditions. Planners need to get a better understanding of the trucking world sometimes as they often just see so many miles between a and b, and don't think if there is mountains or weather etc.

Extremely fraudulent company! Stay away if you don’t want to be burnt for money! I didn’t get paid a dime as OO. All my time, deisel and truck use and mileage was all for nothing! They are based out of US, so there is very little you can do to these crooks!

requires better communication between office and drivers can't seem to be able to make up their minds constantly changing loads.  If you like to be told one thing and end up doing something else this is the place for you.
