usually show up at 7:30am go through briefing. got a job and leave. the day could be 5 hours or it could be 14 hours. the management was terrible. we would get a job to move a huge load twice to three times the amount of a normal load and there would be no increase in help. making you stay there till sleeping hours. as well asking people to drive trucks they are not trained on. as well as not being paid the increased wage. I had many hours cut from my pay check because the clocking of hours was done unprofessionally. some days I would work 6 hours of overtime in a day and would only get 2 hours on my actual time card. hardest part is moving it is very labour intensive if you like that kind of work than it isn't that bad. most enjoyable part is helping the clients move from place to place.

This was one of the most physically demanding jobs, but yet at the same time the people that I worked with made it one of the best experiences I have ever had.  They made it a joy to want to get up and go to work everyday. The management always made sure that the best crew was put together for the right job. Any problems that occurred were able to be discussed without indecent. Never making you feel out of place.  Great staff and employees always making you feel like part of something bigger.  But unfortunately it is seasonal employment and summer is the busiest time.

My time at highland was a good experience for me. Great group of guys except for one driver that was a cocky joker but he wasn't even funny. The rest of them were great. Pay was on par for the industry. Ability to advance was encouraged. Organization was good jobs were always announced on the phone in lineup number everyday before 6pm for work the next day. 

The job of the Controller is always challenging. You are implementing rules and procedures and ensuring the Internal Controls are effective. However, at times financial policies may seem to hinder or slow down Operational efficiencies. The key is to maintain the right balance which is never easy.
The Management is supporting of new initiatives.

moving company are good to work for when you wanna know how to learn how to pack your owe thing properly into boxes and learn how to wrap your furniture and load a truck properly

My day was always full and busy. Loved working with the public and providing a much needed service. The staff was always enjoyable and everyone got along famously.  The customers were the best part of the job, getting to see a little of their lives, made each day different and always challenging.

  The dispatcher  is too  faced and  lazy .  She has been  there along time. Almost as old as the runners.
    Work hard and no appreciation.  You're just  a number.
Remember  that when  you apply. Pay is low so you have  to work  more.
Nobody  cares. 

worst moving company to hire and to work for. worked there for over a decade and they let me go just before Christmas. reason was i needed to get finger print test for backround check. at the time i didnt have the cash or proper i,d, available. instead of working with me they starved me out for the holidays.

Co-workers, Hr, dispatch and employees in the office are all amazing people. 
The work is fairly easy, nothing hard really, physically intensive some days but overall pretty slack. You treat them well, you will be treated well in return.

Work like a mule and get no recognition, they will work you 70 hours one week and 10 the next. You'll never get a decent cheque working here. You cant plan for out of work activities at all as their schedule is set the night before. Absolutely detrimental to one's well being.
