Worst place I’ve ever worked and I’ve been working for almost 10 years. EXTREMELY HIGH turnover rate. In the first 3 months I was there, 4 people left — including a supervisor. Then the last about 7/8 months, there was a turnover of 6 other people. 

Was not allowed to sit unless on break. Stood for extremely long hours. We’re only allowed extra breaks if you would go out & smoke with the managers.
They played favourites & promoted people who were not there long enough or deserved it. And promoted certain people for all other foolish reasons. Did not care about you, whatsoever.

A supervisor had lost both parents & needed some time off — this company & group of bosses & HR told the supervisor they if they needed more than “regular “ (2weeks) off, he/she would either need to quit and reapply for their original position, or he/she can keep a job with the company, however he/she would be demoted. Like WHAT is that?! 

Even for my birthday, upon the interview, and even 1 month before, I told them that I do not work on my birthdays no matter what. They kept saying that it’s fine. But when I reminded them like 2 weeks before they had already scheduled me (before the schedule being out),  because there was a tour group coming. I fought back and forth with management and HR, and all they did instead was make me work until 11pm the night before & try to get me to work half day. I ended up just giving away one shift and calling in sick for the other. It’s unbelievable. And HR was the person that hired me!! Who I specifically told in the interview that idint work on my birthdays. Ridiculous.

Also they only pay minimum wage — while you’re doing above minimum work.

I would rather work in a fast food restaurant than to EVER go back here. Ever.

Review of overnight activities and then review of occupancy for the day and the next 7 consecutive days.  Started the day in the restaurant greeting guests and conversing with them - helping them with directions for their journey along the Alaska Highway.  Management was very supportive and available.
The best part of the job was the interaction with guests.  
The hardest part of the job was being so isolated, however, the people who made up the operational team on-site helped minimize any anxiety of being so far from home.

I worked as a contract General Manager for Holloway Lodging Corporation which took on a short term engagement operating a hotel in  receivership for PWC.

Holloway Lodging had a high level of sophistication in systems, measuring progress and metrics, offering timely and accurate supports to the field and just being great t work with.

Excellent company to work for.

Really liked the work I did here but was constantly told to do things faster and not make sure they were done right. Other employees were nice to my face but then talked badly about me behind my back. So much unbelievable lies to make themselves and their work look better then mine.

A great company to work for, and I gained a wealth of experience while working for this particular company. Benefits were above average and the contacts I made are exceptional.

Swore at by management, scheduled for shifts I agreed to not being able to work. Fired for being pregnant. Breaks were not allowed unless requested for valid reasons, or what the management would consider valid.

Was once the coolest place to work but sadly has completely lost its edge. Poor management across the board with many failing upwards who don't know how to manage others well if at all. People eventually move on after realizing they can't grow professionally or financially.

They set you up for failure, no support is ever given to you, they are racists and against immigrants, they only use them but they promote white Canadians and specially women, funny enough, the person who does that is an immigrant !!!!!!!!!

I worked for this company for years and always got excellent feedback, thought I had a good job/career. And one day they let me go out of the blue, no reason and treated me like I was a felon.

They do not care about their employees.

Long time employee (off and on). These guys are more than accommodating when it comes to making room for school, family, church. Great policies, staff events, and leadership. Always a treat to work for Holloway.
