Management consists of a bunch of high school drop outs that think they know how to run the company when they actually do not. The normal people with degrees have been brainwashed by these people which is sad. They have a review system that can keep your career advancement suppressed and is very opinionated. You can help out everyone on your team, do 1000+ overtime hours while helping everyone complete their work; but if you do not deliver even 1 deliverable that you promised they will forget all the good work you have done and destroy you on your review the next year while expecting you to uphold all the good work you did as a 'norm.' This place is very sexist towards males; a female engineer can walk in get everyone else to do her work while being promoted the following year. (No overtime needed) Everything a female does deserves a promotion while the poor people that are actually working hard gets walked all over. They also promoted the wrong people; i had a group leader with 0 knowledge in any electrical or mechanical systems but since he was good at kissing management's a** he got promoted. They have a 'coaching' system that is only meant to protect management and not its associates. They fire people for very stupid reasons. They also think that even if your not at work whatever you do in your free time can also get you potentially fried.  Example: coworkers and I went out to dinner I show my friends some bumble matches and someone finds that offensive. The next day instantly fired for being "sexist" which doesn't even make sense. They claim that honda doesn't fire people, i've seen them fire people without cause or the actual "cause" is very weak. They will also renag on your benefits if they feel the need to. For example i had 1 month of benefits left as outlined by the letter that was sent to me before leaving the company; they actually cancelled the benefits right away instead of giving me that 1 month they promised.

If you need to work here, use this place as a stepping stone and dont make this your full time career. They reduced vacation days and sick days for new commers while keeping all the vacation/sick days for management. They claim that all their staff is "retiring" and they need to hire more people but what is actually happening is they stay for 35-40 years in useless roles (no work required) while they make the new commers do everything. To many chiefs not many Indians.

Do not work here period. The amount of work you put in does not reflect  or match the salary given at all.

Typical day started at 8:00 am or 9 am, you punch in and start washing cars. Cars come in for washes by appointments or they're walk in. 

I've learned how to detail and wash a car properly. Learned a lot more about how cars work, how body work is done on a car as well.

Management in the service department isn't the best. A lot of corners are cut to save money, sacrificing safety for the workers. Customer keys are sometimes hard to find use to have to lock up keys in a 'box'. After the car is worked on or wash it's typically put back in the 'box'. Sometimes people forget and hold the keys on their person, leaving the next individual struggling to find it.

The hardest part of the job is when a continuous rush of cars come in and you have to rinse, wash and dry all with in a span of 5-10 minutes per car. Sometimes cars get backed and it's difficult to catch back up. As well, customers sometimes complain that the car is "not washed properly" even when it is and you'll have to rewash it with out getting paid for it. Pay is $4 per car, if you don't meet the minimum wage you'd make for a regular shift that day toy are paid out.
 
Ex: You have a 8 hour shift. Minimum wage is $11.25. 11.25 x 8 = $90. You wash 20 cars the whole day, 20 x $4 = 80. Because you didn't meet or go over the minimum wage you'd make that day you are paid out the rest of the $ for that day. TIME IS 100% MONEY IN THIS POSITION(unless no or very minimal work that day.

The most enjoyable part about the job is my co workers. I've had the chance to work with some the most entertaining but hardworking people. 99% of them make you laugh and have a good time when you're going to find your next car to wash. Even walking by the technicians, they are all amazing people who make the day more enjoyable.

I had a great time here. I met some amazing people who I still talk to to this day. 

The work-life balance isn't the best when the plant is operating at 100% (during covid there were non production days) and if you commute over an hour each way. Closer you live = more time with family. Rotating shifts ruins the balance.

Management on A shift are ok but B shift is better. Some associates who've worked there since Plant 2 was dirt feel the need to gate keep certain job processes and rotate amongst themselves. Lying to associates with many years experience that are new to the department (or new associates in general) about how hard the process is when it's the same thing if not easier.. Just in a different part of the plant. A-shift Management turns a blind eye in this instance. B shift is great because nobody gatekeeps in Plant 2 paint and there is less tension amongst each other. Very few associates with a high 'number' tend to abuse their senority.

As long as you do your job, you won't have any problems.

Overall, Line associates are the true STARS here. These people come from all walks of life to build Canada's best selling cars. Each person has a background, some with families,  and amajority of associates are easy to strike a decent conversation with. Very Friendly environment overall.

Work can be mind numbing depending where you are but the great people I've worked with more than makes up for it.

Would work here again if the pay structure improved,  along with the times we live in and fair management practices. It's a shame that automotive assembly isn't considered a trade hence the low starting wages.

Coming into to work with a positive mindset looking forward at fulfilling the daily tasks and contributing to the organization`s goals. Read my emails, then start tackling on my assignments with priority and dedication. Asking management certain questions ensuring I am on the right track when doing the work. Interacting with other colleagues of mine to accomplish projects that might require a team and working together to achieving our desired target. I am a team player and love working alongside other staff that share the same passion as I do. This might be using Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, Word as I am pro efficient in all three and more. I love the ability to look back at my work and the team`s work, to see the impact we have had on others within the community. This is very self gratifying. Working hard has always been my best attribute as I will do anything to get the job done. The hardest part of the job is the learning curve when first starting and at time, when doing certain tasks that are needed to be done in a timely fashion, that have specific requirements. However, regardless of the situation, they will get accomplished. The most enjoyable is when you realize how well of a job you have done. Whether this is in the shape of a reward, a simple good job from the boss or seeing the work itself, telling yourself, it was cost-effective, attracted business, and spurred economic growth while meeting the goals of the company. It is nice being able to work independently and meeting deadlines, but doing so with enjoyment and loving what you do every day.

a typical work day varied from customer request and demands, I was expected to be able to switch different types of jobs from assembly, quality control and job replacement for sick or injured co-workers. 

I've learned a number of different things while working with Honda of Canada MFG. I learned a great number of different skills and uses of tools and machines, Time management and Working with a large amount of co-workers and team members.

The management at Honda of Canada MFG. was outstanding, managers were always there to assist me with any questions or concerns I may have had. and were always willing to teach me different jobs and tool use's to help grow the company further and in fulfilling work orders. 

The co-workers at Honda were helpful and willing to help me learn the jobs that were required of me. And took the time to make sure that jobs were learned and completed in a timely and professional manner.  

The hardest part of my job I would have to say, was to be able to switch jobs at a moments notice and to be able to lift heavy and strenuous parts and supplies for a long period of time. 

The most enjoyable part of my job was finishing are large order of vechicles before the requierd time given. And getting recognition in completing a job well done.

- Customer centric focus kind of collection - to bring customer finance and life style back on track through different financial tools or options.
- Doing skip tracing and arrange repossession
- Colleagues are mostly very opened  mind for new implementation and challenges
- Company is changing objective from a #1 profitable company to a #1 company that can serve Canadian
- The hardest part of the job is to compromise with the management system. The management is not able to deliver the new objective of the company. Their newly added implementations are not helping the situation, but they become burden of the operation.  In terms of Collections, delinquency level is raising, work is overload but not delivering value, company even cut head counts during this difficult moment. These numbers with full of discrepancy rectified on the system becomes a challenge to workers.
- The most enjoyable part of the job is most of the colleagues are quite supportive and with high spirit.

I have now been working with Honda for the past 01 year & I am glad to say that it has been really a great learning experience for me along with which I have put my best efforts to deliver best quality work successfully.

With a company like Honda, the challenges are always high. This is something which inspires me a lot. I mean if somebody gets to work in a tough challenging atmosphere in the beginning of the career only then, what else could be better than that? I feel that If someone takes the taste of hard time challenges then the coming future becomes much easier. I have always looked upto any sort of challenges that come to me and until now each one of those have been converted into an accomplishment.

I now handle more than 20 dealers myself here at Honda. Initially when I had joined this organisation, I was well aware about the challenges that was obvious when working with a brand like Honda.
Over the time here, I have always got the support from the management to work freely, the way I want to and in return I have been able to overcome the day to day hurdles with my performance.

The best part about my job is that it brings new surprises to me in the form of challenges and I always evaluate myself upon successfully achieving the solution to it at any cost.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Opportunity for growth. A lot of internal jobs are posted weekly. Safety is priority and unsafe practices are frowned upon or disciplined according to severity. As of it now a person cannot be fired for other than absence. If you show up for work, your job is secured. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Making your numbers. There’s quotas that need to be achieved and that f not, every office person comes down to the floor and stay right on top of the operator as if that would solve the problem.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Honda culture is open door policy, you can talk to any level of management at any time. Though they prefer you go to immediate superior first, if you decide and stop the GM to talk they will listen. Work environment is chilled as long as we have no issues. Safety is followed at all times and supplies are abundant 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Short meeting in the morning, work at my station for 2 hours, break, change stations two hours, lunch, etc. work is not hard to learn and they trained you until you feel you’re ready. There’s a good cafeteria that serves hot food and can be deducted for your paycheque.

Work is extremely repetitive but makes the day go by faster. At times the work can be physically demanding which may result in repetitive stress injuries. Co-workers are your average "blue Collar" type which were easy to get along with. Washroom breaks are documented and no sitting is permitted during core work time.

Learned how to work as a team, quality control and be highly productive... to the point that keeping up with "the line" can be difficult for some people.

Management for the most part are uneducated people who have been trained to follow and enforce company policies. It's not uncommon for management when confronted on a policy to "make it up" in favour of management. Upon employee disciplinary action, don't expect ANY copies of any documents. If you're legitimately sick and require time off or require sick benefits for medical issues/time off, you're flagged by the company which may result in no job advancement and being put on "coach / counselling" for attendance.

So, if you're healthy and never get sick, have a thick skin and tolerance for this type of work environment, look no further. You'll fit right in with this régime.

What is the best part of working at the company?
You will have many opportunities to develop and improve yourself.  People are mostly friendly and helpful unless you are the bad one. Benefits are good. Paid weekly. Overtime work is rewarded enough. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It is a fast-paced job under pressure. Most co-workers are very helpful, still it is better to improve yourself as soon as possible. 
If you don't know about how to move your body in safe way, your body will screaming soon. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Many good people and less stress from people, and it gives you energy to work. 
If you want to explore and find a new path to grow, you will never get bored. If you just want to get money, you will get what you want. But in that case, you can find easier job from other company.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start with finding good parking spot. The parking lot is huge. Better be earlier. 
The morning team meeting gives idea how your day will look like, and it happens as expected. 
When the job is done, you are free. 
Finish with traffic jam. Because everyone want to go home at the same time.
