If you are looking for a company with great management, leaders who recognize and reward hard work, initiative, and competency then this isn't the place for you. They have no loyalty to there long time employees. Guys coming in with no experience are making more then people who are leads with company over 30 years. I been there 10 years and as of lately it's gone to the dogs. The sad reality is, unless you are family or friend connected to the management you are most likely not going to advance. Another that's depressing is  there are 11 stations in total in assembly alone,  that help build agricultural machines. From start to finish, they bring you in and leave you in one station for the remainder of your stay, lots of waisted potential instead of having everyone being versatile through every station. They just keep you stuck in one place. It's sad. It is a job but that's it. Your expectations and experience upon starting are like night and day. I been there ten years and getting to old to start over. If given the opportunity I would of went else where. 

The work I did, Running a Pangborn Blaster was Good work as we were producing swathers and headers employed in the farming industry.  A lack of testing the equipment before producing it resulted in a large number of issues; as did the switch of parts made in Germany and the USA to parts made in China.  Even so, I was able to increase production to seven 36 foot frames and parts per day by simply doing all of the work.  I moved all parts to the chain for loading, loaded the parts onto the line, blasted and blew them off, unloaded them onto the line and moved the lines around.   It is quicker to do it yourself rather than wait for another individual to notice it is time for them to do their job.  Furthermore it seems that when one does someone else's job even once, that other person ceases to perform that function again.  The problems arose when all of the machines from certain lines would break down, all for different reasons; my breaking of production records was not beneficial in such a situation.

Working at honeybee was a struggle. Management didn't really know what they were doing and plans were constantly changing. Most people were friendly to be around but the wage wasn't worth it. The only people who stick around are there because there's not a lot of jobs in the area. After the roll-out, and then recall of airflex headers, they never really recovered.

I have a good experience there from the engineering team the owners of the company are very nice and creative people with a lot of experience in building farming equipment.

I worked in an assembling line build headers and swathers . I also build various parts for the headers and swathers. and then when I went to RnD I helped to build the prototypes and did other various jobs

The whole company for management down has no idea what they are doing. They constantly fall behide even on the simplest of tasks. There's no reward for hard work, and they do nothing about incompetent employees.

HB provides a good work environment where they offer support and encouragement to be the best you can be at your job, while also valuing that family and personal well-being are important and should not be sacrificed.

A company with a great history and relevant challenges on its future, in terms of product, product development process and management along with the business transition for the second generation.

Honey Bee Mfg is a typical agricultural work enviroment; busy in the summer months slower in the winter months. Usually provides enough work year round.

The work at Honey Bee was great, I learned alot on my own, as I like to keep busy...I had alot of verity there and met alot of good people. Sometimes it was difficult finding something to do there, when it was slow.
