Warning to any one who is thinking of getting working at this company. This company is like working in a third world country but in a first world setting. They under pay there  employee's an abuse them every chance they get. You part of a union not the company. They call it maintaining. 

If I really need a job an you are desperate they will hire anyone. They have a hard time keeping employees  because of the environment  an working conditions . Your first day u will get sick because of the burning plastic you will be breatheing in your body will adapt to it an you will no long smell it. Until u go on holidays an come back.

If u are going to become an operator dont even bother because they dont have anyone that can train you on the machines probably because they are broken an they dont want to invest an money in to fixing it. I have never seen an operator trainee pass training in 3 years . Poorly ran company.

If u are going to be a packer you will be responsible for anything wrong with the bag even though the operators dont care about there jobs an the machines are broken an your operator will get you to pack things you shouldn't so he doesnt have to try an fix the problem an the supervisor will try an get you to pack things that u shouldn't pack just for production numbers then right you up for it. Remember when u bend down to pick up the bags hold you breathe. 

Manammgent in the office are just as corrupt. The reason why there isnt any other bad reviews is because the plant superintendent ask google to delete them so here's the real deal. Good luck.

If you are looking for "just a job" this plant will provide.  If you are looking for a "career" with a company that invests in its employees, keep looking.  It is a dead end job.  
Equipment is not maintained with a "run it until its REALLY broken attitude creating a stressful environment as you are still expected to produce.
Extreme Corporate attitude.  No tolerance for life outside the building.  Attendance policy point system, unless you're dead you will accrue points until you are suspended or terminated, doctors notes are NOT recognized in any circumstance for absences.
Poor choices for upper management personnel resulting in severe dysfunction throughout the plant.
Lack of correct training for junior employees.   
High number of early "retirements".
Skeleton maintenance dept.  Sub contractors are hired that do more damage than good for the large part.

Good company to work for. It was probably the best interview I’ve had with any company. The management and HR were fantastic during the interview. The challenges that I found was that there isn’t a proper training strategy, that being said you need to be honest with the management so that they can help you get the training you need. This job is a long term investment that you’ll need to make to be successful, once you get through the first few months it starts getting easier. Lots to learn but you’ll find it rewarding solving issues. 12 hour rotating shifts, was not a problem for me and I enjoyed knowing I would have a long week and a short week. Pay is very good, some pizza lunches, clothing allowance, casual clothes. I really enjoyed my coworkers, they helped me a lot and made the job much better. Everyone helps each other when issues come up. Supervisors are great there. Warehouse guys are easy and friendly. I left for personal reasons, otherwise I would have stayed. 

No respect by for maintenance crew by upper management. PM program is none existent, as well as part inventory program. PM is done while machine is running, with no lock-out/tag-out procedure followed. Machines get repaired when they break, if parts are available. If defective parts are noticed, machine still runs until it breaks, basically defeating the PM. Safety and other regulations not always followed, or enforced, such as blocking of electrical panels and pathways to get out in case of emergency, electrical junction boxes with missing covers and wires hanging out, etc. Coworkers are usually friendly and shift supervisors are generally good. This is a, make more money with little money spent, fix it when it breaks with little time atmosphere. No co-ordination with production management, and maintenance, due to “upper management”, for proper repairs.

The operations manager has no experience and a huge Ego that has ended several maintenance managers time at this plastic plant. Although he claims to have an education, fails to show any skill or experience in achieving any success in day to day operations. His inability to plan and complete a project of any size, leaves this operation with absolute failure 
The last 5 maintenance managers have not lasted more than 6 months most of which left inside 2 - 3 months due to his poor people skills.
If you have any skill, experience or desire to make any improvement in this operation, Don't waist your time applying as soon as you show you have more skill and experience than he does your days are numbered to less than 6 months. His Ego will not allow you to look better than he is.

Lacking in organization and management of personnel and production. Unionized environment, good pay and benefits, but lacking in job security for lower seniority employees and classification of jobs. Lacking morale standards of trust, from management and employees, as well as enforcement of safety regulations, and company policies. Inconsistent with employee shift scheduling, causing interruptions with family and personal living. Workplace is unsanitary, for a company producing packaging for human consumables.

My supervisor was amazing when it came to advancement,  and scheduling.  They restructured management, and it all went downhill pretty fast.  They expect You to fulfill their commitments with no concern to your home life.  Most times they would change your schedule without a weeks notice.   It is written in the contract with the Association, they are allowed to.  This agreement is based out of the 80's.  The Association is meant to protect You from the 80's mentality of management, but with no real knowledge of how to go about it.  If you like being harassed by management about numbers, this is the place for you.

It’s a job that’s about it, can’t think of a reason to recommend to anybody

Shifts are tough, and management not very good and try to ignore employees rights at every turn and actually thinks it’s more a lack of knowledge then anything else.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Most negative place I ever worked. Job was easy but atmosphere was very Negative. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Usually do the same task everyday, and 12 hour rotating shifts, assembly style work

Managers expect so much in little time. Terrible work environment, dusty, loud and unsafe. Always pointing fingers, people will throw you under the bus to save them selves, no integrity. Benefits are pretty good but not worth the heartache you face day to day. Expect you to work overtime with no extra pay and is almost expected you do, who would wanna work OT under the conditions mentioned and with no pay. Just awful. Always questions your sick days, no compassion. Worse managers. You do your best to keep up with the demands but ultimately you get criticized for it. After all this they expect you to stay loyal. 

This place is pure Garbage!! All they care about is bags per employee!! Safety?? HAHA ZERO. You hurt yourself and management gets their loser leadhand to harass you till you quit! The place is unionized but there’s way too many “union members” kissing managements a-s Absolutely pathetic! They give you no reason to strive and do a better job at all. Way too much favoritism. No chance to get promoted to anything! They spend zero money on equipment or upkeep with their 1950’s machines! It’s like walking into a shop in the 1930’s!!! Run Run Run Run like I did!!
