In a restaurant, most days started out by reviewing the specials, making sure tables were cleaned, had a cash float. Was always neet and tidy, proper uniform attire or complied with dress code requirements.  On the graveyard shift I worked alone but had a cook till 11 pm and at 5 the breakfast cook came on.  Camp cooking entailed a management over review. As a 1st cook one was responsible for all areas just as if it were a hotel. Long hours but as a floater I met a lot of people and many oil patch workers. The variety and diversified people I met made the job interesting. As a greyhound ticket agent, the days were never dull, staff was awesome, very positive work environment and was able to advance to the office for year round work, good company perks.

Awesome company to work for. The ladies and gentlemen in the office work there hardest to fill any position that they may have available for you. The make sure in the orientation that you know exactly how the company runs, and how important safety is. They let you know its a fun friendly environment that I constantly growing, and that safety is the first concern.
They are very welcoming , always stay on track of available jobs,  ongoing communication through telephone calls, and text messaging.

Most of the people you may come in contact with at the job location for the most part are awesome people who are strong willed. But if you have a great work ethic, and are team member or able to work independently, you soon become to feel like a small family.

Travelling, meeting new coworkers, good food and good working conditions

Not really stressful, just strenuous work 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good, not perfect, but mostly everyone worked as a team, and we were treated good 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10-12 hrs, cleaning and disinfecting clients rooms, stocking, laundry

Work culture balanced with accommodating lifestyle.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Remote locations, long hours, living out.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's great. 👍 company involvement with staff wellbeing is a major part of horizon north's buissnes.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10am to 9pm, 20 on 10 off. Cooking for 650+ clients in all day dining/catering hall.

I like to work for HNCC but since it is a catering company in the oil patch the job is in a remote area and it is a seasonal job , and I would like to have a year round job where I can be home at night , the company has good management and I have good co workers , and I became a very strong cook and baker in them years I worked for HNCC

I really enjoyed my experience with this company and was really looking forward to furthering my career with them.
Covid has made my employment uncertain so I am reviewing other avenues of work.

i learned alot in the kitchen, clean workspace, i got along well with others was a friendly enviornment to work at overall a great company to work with.

Go company to work for most of the time depend what camp you work at good team work have fun during work but not very good when at camp where is drama and no team work.

The food and salary are good depending on which camp you work at. It paid really well for a non union camp. The people I got to work were great.

I have learned all you do at work is smile,talk less ,do more,don't be too friendly with everyone.

carrying heavy stuff,repetitive work motions.
