Hot Oven Bakery

Hot Oven Bakery was a great working experience.
A typical day at work (which directly relates to management) consisted of taking customers orders, either through the phone or in person; dealing with customer complaints either through email, phone or in person; sending food orders to other Hot Oven Bakery locations;  front of store operations, opening and closing

With this company I further enhanced my management skills. I learnt to multitask in a high traffic environment while maintaining the quality of service.
Because I bring enthusiasm and spark to situations, this enabled the building of effective relationships with co-workers, customers and the public.

The hardest part of the job was the amount of hours on your feet. 
The most enjoyable part of the job was fulling my duties as a manager and interacting with customers.

A typical day at work consists of serving customers, cleaning, and counting tills. There are many regular customers that come in daily. Management is considerate in regards to working around my school schedule. My co-workers are very friendly, I have made some good friends over the past two years. The hardest part of my job is dealing with the odd difficult customer, however that always comes with a solution. The most enjoyable part of this job is being able to work with friendly people all day.

Started working there when i was in highschool and everything seemed alright, until the management shifted and our new boss was insane. i was "promoted" to supervisor which added about 2 extra hours worth of work to every shift, yet my pay stayed the exact same as everyone else. when i asked about a raise, my manager said that they normally don't do that until you've been with them for a while. i had been there for a full year at that point. After she left we were without a manager for about a year and a half.

Hot Oven is a great Place to work, the owners and managers are lovely people and great to work for. 
I learned a lot of valuables skills at this job and met a lot of great people. I really enjoyed the variety of different types of work that was available at one job,you were constantly doing something new which made work enjoyable.  baking, barista, cashier..ect.

Because it was a local business, it was a neat place to learn about the baked bread and goods that were served, the overall feel of being able to learn everything or almost everything. And after while you know the regulars and customers that frequent the place.

There was so much too look forward to going in for work. The area it was in brought in many customers, the fresh baked goods are an easy and manageable product too work around. The people are always nice and welcoming. I loved this job.

Typical day had me open the store, start the oven and prepare dough and pastries. Many times I had to go searching for ingredients as the evening closing crew did not properly place them in their correct location. Had a mouse problem.

Upper management difficult 
Too many indecision’s which caused serious product mistakes and delivery delays.  Always last minute decisions.  Never took your feedback. Always felt they knew best ...loved job and customers  though

Management is really nice and overall environment is comfortable, not stressful, and fun to work at with comfortable uniforms, easy training, and overall nice people

It's probably the only job in my entire life that I've ever enjoyed doing. Boss is very kind and fair, nice coworkers that have my back. I enjoy working there and only wish i could get more hours in.
