Houston Landscapes was one of the best employment experiences I’ve ever had. From the executive team through to management/foreperson(s), skilled workers, and labourers, this company has built an incredible team of friendly, supportive, and highly experienced people well positioned to help you achieve your goals. Houston Landscapes is also an inclusive company, with a huge emphasis on equal opportunity and diversity. In my time with Houston, there was also some great opportunities to be involved with unique volunteer work for some good community initiatives. The opportunities are endless at Houston Landscapes. 

The company has a number of different divisions ranging from landscape maintenance, horticulture, landscape construction(residential, commercial), and a concrete division as well. Prepare to work very hard, smart and safe! Houston operates in all weather conditions year round. The work can be very physically and mentally demanding especially in extreme temperatures, endless days of rain with project deadlines to be met. But I assure you it’s worth it. Working outside physically all day, every day in a fast paced environment brings a huge level of self satisfaction, camaraderie as a team, and keeps you healthy! They also go above and beyond other companies in the industry with what they provide employees in regards to PPE and support in and out of the field. Houston Landscapes is a safety first work environment, and you can trust that they will have your back at all times. 

I highly recommend this company. In two years, I was able to achieve all the goals I outlined in my interview, plus more than I could’ve imagined. 

the foreman will give you instructions what to do, and will teach you how to do it. They treat you with respect and you work as a team. They provide you with all the tools and materials and will also give you instructions on safety at work.



I encourage anyone who is looking to become a part of a great team, wants to take on their personal develop in a supportive environment and has a passion for the outdoors and the landscapes construction business to come learn what we are to.   We are building a a great team and looking for the right people to be a part of creating the future with this amazing group of leaders. 

Houston is a good place to work there.  Really nice people and foremen.  They work the whole year and have snow removal in winter in the airport.
Lots of learning on the site and they have benefits too.
If you want a career you can have it there if you work hard and follow the rules.  If you just want to work it's ok too, 
They make sure the crew is safe and have big jobs too.

Houston Landscapes was a decent place for me. I was provided the opportunity to learn quickly by being given more responsibility then I could handle. This was not the case for everyone there, some people would be somewhat stuck doing the same stuff day after day

I loved working here. It’s honestly the best job I’ve had. There was some favouritism amongst certain foremen and employees, but apart from that it was all good

Started in the field as a skilled installer, moved into the office as a Project Coordinator, then worked my way up as a Resource Manager, to Project Controls Specialist, to Project Manager. Positive environment, great people, interesting projects. 

While landscaping is challenging and hard working, the Team at Houston Landscapes is amazing - they have fun on the job site and their is great comradery.  Lots of friendships made.  

Working on-site, I learned a lot about safety rules and industrial landscaping.
 A nice co-worker with a different culture.
Very fiscal job in a busy and expensive city.
