Howell Family Pumpkin Farm

The Howell Family Pumpkin Farm is a fantastic first job for anyone. The manager/supervisors are incredibly helpful and truly care about their employees. It is so much fun and the customers are so sweet, as majority of them are long-time customers who come back ever year. They are a few customers who get stressful but the manager/supervisors will always have your back. Theres tons of opportunities to get lots of hours and the hours of operation are super convenient for students. As a worker you get free admissions whenever you're not working and 40% off food. The manager/supervisors really do treat their staff with absolute respect and are very accommodating (within reason of course). I truly can't say enough good things about the farm, it really is a job you are excited to go back to every year.

A typical day would be to show up and sign in or else your hours would not get logged. I would then go to my work station (BBQ) and clean everything off because of all the dust that built up over the night. 2 other people would join me to do the things I can not do, as I am touching raw meats. No one ever has an issue and always stays on task and are great to have around while on shift. The management comes out often to check on stock and talks to us about how things are going. I have learned to be a better person while working here and would definitely go back next season in fall 2017.

Howells is such a family friendly work environment and I always felt happy and welcome when at work. Everybody is always happy to be there. The hours a reasonable and the management is super nice. You get to meet a lot of nice people and spend the day outside.

Howells is amazing! It's a great seasonal job, and the staff are all amazing. I love the managers and felt like I was at home from the first day. I got the perfect amount of hours, and it was really simple to request time off. This is an amazing job that I would (and have!) recommend to people.

I personally thought working at Howells was a great place to spend my time. yes, it was tiring but you always had a good time. A typical day at work started off by being greeted by many managers and staff workers, then moving to your station and working for a few hours.

Really slow days even though the maximum amount of hours you could get is four maybe five hours a day, and the managers pick and choose their favourites if you aren't already known by them.

Its been pretty fun, but depending where you work it can get kinda boring.
I worked with alot of different people and got to make new friends and acquaintances. I would work here again.

The managers pick favorites and are mean to everyone. the owner is a very nice guy. the worst part of this job was getting little to none hours. didn't like it at all.

The management was amazing and made sure that work was an enjoyable thing on the farm. It was a great energy and I would recommend anyone to send in a resume to the farm.

Lots of fun for a first small job. Everyone is very nice and willing to help you whenever you need it. Gave good hours and were flexible. I loved everyone I worked with
