Howitt construction

-Learned about more of the different soils and what they are for like blue clay liner along the slope of the landfill.
-Payed LOA was a bonus and the food bonus/hotel.
-Awesome crew, good breakfasts and dinner with the crew, learned alot from the mechanic there and how to further decrease wear and tear on machines.
-Learned how to operate the biggest available scraper , read stakes and cute close to final grade.
-Met some awesome people that I live in the same city and still talk to and visit.
-Learned how to cut close to the slope
-Learned how to get loaded by a hoe in a rock truck
-Hardest part was saying goodbye to pipeline.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Not a number they know who you are by name very friendly owners and management

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Long hours with only long weekends off

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fast paced and fun group. A no nonsense company that shows thier applications for a job well done

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Can be hectic but with the good group of fellow employees all professional in thier own right it makes the job enjoyable

machine's, job site, crew was awesome. People running company were nice.
Only problem was the swollen head, new foreman who bird dogs crew and tried anyway he could to run anyone he didn't like regardless of work ethic or experience...should have know better than to go to job where all operators walk on the kid but I heard 850 deer...and jumped into it not thinking...but other than being screwed over for no real good reason other than foreman didn't like me for the way I'd talked about running crews and jobs ....he found a greasy way to get me gone...other than that nice place lol

I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to work and takes pride in there work,Wrong crowd people when I was there,but great place to work ,turned out I was an easy scapegoat but own fault for not knowing who was hanging with at time ,bad loss for me and them ,,, great learning experience tho and lots room for advancement  if you work hard,,,,,,miss that now,,,,probably one best companies I worked for and I'm 47

Personally I found the job good so far....
The foreman and guys I work with are normal and actually easy to get along with...
They pay l.o.a or give you a company place ...
Owners have me an advance off first pay...
Equipment is fine ...
I cant ser anything actually i dont like ...nothing is perfect and job and equipment are what they should be...
Still working with them too...so

Long hours, lower pay in the industry, older warn out equipment. Didn't really advance much or Excell. Kind of put you on a piece of gear and leave ya there. Some what steady work. Local 

Good company to work for, good management if you know what your doing, not to much time off so if you smoke buy enough to last. Overall I would return. Must realize it's a seasonal job. 

There a good company to work for if you're wanting to learn equipment there willing to train but they want you to work alot the days off are not very good but overall it's not a bad place to work 

They treated me good and the people I worked with here were awesome. The mechanic would come anytime the machine broke down. Older iron but very well maintained.

The gear is run down and the people are hard to get along  .ya stay away from them . If the they don't like the way you.eat the apple then they will fire you .
