It is  a very busy workplace. My peers and my Manager are awesome but the VPs and up are awful. No care for employees. All activities and funds are strictly directed to money making and advisors. Support staff are paid low $40's to 50's at most. They promise bonus' and fair pay but this lip service. Merit increase are low like 0-3%  a year. Bonus' are a joke. Twice we were just given our tiny increases in bonus even before doing a performance evaluations. Like who came up with these numbers? I know my manager didn't, she is great and the only reason I stay. The company since the new leadership has taken over has been awful. Staff are not at all cared about. When we got our low low increases he sent a letter out saying how well we did and how much we made. That is like adding salt to the wound. Thanks for nothing. Start looking after your staff not just with pay, how about some acknowledgement as in recognition gift cards, a working wage where one can keep afford to live. Stay away. Many of us are looking to leave at most locations

I’ve been in a contract role with HUB for almost a year and have really enjoyed working with my colleagues, as well as having a very supportive VP. As my contract is coming to an end, my VP has been advocating for me to stay and has helped me network with other teams for potential opportunities.

Unfortunately, the process has been inefficient on the part of other team managers and VPs, many of whom have not responded to my emails regarding networking or possible openings. Internal applications don’t seem to lead anywhere, and it feels as though the value of someone who already understands the company’s culture and systems isn’t being recognized.

This was a good company with high expectations of his employees & quality of work.  I learned to be a team player, advancing to a higher position as a team leader.  I worked well with management & respected their decisions whether I agreed with them or not.  I had excellent co-workers who I am still friends with since retiring 3 years ago.  The hardest part of the job was the high work load. The most enjoyable part of the job was the respect we all had for each others contribution to the tasks at hand.  I enjoyed working in a friendly workplace with exceptional co-workers.  We all worked hard to get the job done.

I have had a lot of growth in the 3 short years here working at HUB. I enjoy coming into the office and seeing the friendly faces here in Calgary. Our team has the best Management I have ever experienced in my life. Very understanding, helpful and most importantly HUB Financial Calgary has always understood that I am a mom first career second. That is a huge bonus in a company!! There are challenging moments like any career but I have great support  

Staff is amazing but management is horrible. They don’t really care about their employees and their wellbeing. They only care about the company making their profit. If your department is under staffed and you’re working late everyday and not eating, they don’t care at all. If you complain, they just get rid of you faster.

Team oriented environment, relaxed and faced paced at times. I gained experience in the insurance field, management is respect, the hardest thing about the job is alternating to someone else's work station without proper training, Overall I enjoy working with my peers, I just wished there was more opportunities for advancement and growth within the company.

As an independent Sales Agent, I enjoyed my time at HUB Financial Inc. I was treated with respect, given appropriate support and invited to many corporate functions. An independent brokerage, it provided many options for insurance providers, resulting in higher confidence in both myself and my clients.

This organization provides independent financial advisors with access to the tools and resources necessary for the delivery of comprehensive and balanced financial and private advice to clients.

Great work culture; the senior leadership is accessible and transparent; response to the pandemic has been fantastic; truly cares about the employees, remote and/or hybrid work schedule.
