Good place to gain a lot of experience in rebuilding various components and on several different types of machinery. Time is always critical on any job, and that can sometimes be a downfall to the company. Not at Hugh Munro Construction. Ample time is always given when given a job, this way you can do a job properly and to the best of your ability.

Terrible place to work!!! No job security. Use you and abuse you mentality to upper management, recently fired "in the last six months" most of their full time employees. Most of them if not all of them have been employed by this company for 20 years+..This is one of the worst construction companies to work for in Manitoba or Western Canada.

This company used to be a great place to work with a positive, progressive atmosphere, the opportunity for advancement was available.  Recent changes in upper management and structuring made many employees feel that this is no longer the case, so many have moved on to greener pastures to continue in the heavy construction field

Arrive, safety talk for fifteen minutes and tell us where to go, hop in tractor drive to work area work 6 hours/ break then repeat. may have to refuel during the day, drive back to yard, park tractor. go home, patience, lots of management. decent work culture if your suited for it. getting stuck every ten minutes some days. Going home

Arrive at job site by 6:30 am.  Find out which equipment you will be operating.

No work if it rains.  Very dependant on the weather and only seasonal.

Co-workers were great on my last job.

Operating the equipment was the most fun.

I really enjoyed working with Hugh Munro Construction. A typical day at work is busy but fun. The staff is very supportive and helpful. Working in the construction field is most fun!

There was never a set schedule, making it almost impossible to plan anything in your personal life. Inexperienced, untrained supervision. There is a lot of nepotism in this company.
