They treat you nice during orientation but then the truth comes out.  They get you to do a drug test but find out on your first pay cheque they deduct you for it at 100+ dollars which is suppose to be the companies responsibility.  then they constantly send messages over the elog unit about things that need to be done and if they arent you can get written up for it.  They also preach about how they are family oriented however if you take a day or two off they discipline drivers by extending there time off to teach them a lesson.  REALLY IMMATURE and unprofessional.

Worked there for 7 months, was injured on the job as a driver and offered RTW programm. During tis period was offered another job as a field dispatcher but was never implemented was constantly told job were on hold but always saw new hires being orientated for them. Other positions were available in the company but when i applied was told jobs not available at the present but shortly after discussion other persons filled jobs. Constantly strung along, lied too, was laid off at christmas until further notice when called about coming back was constantly lied too, when received R.O.E it showed TERMINATED instead of LAID-OFF. When contacted the office i was told to theyd be in touch and to date have not received call, letter or any other contact.
Would not recommend this company to work for.

This is by far the worst trucking company I have ever worked for. Having to live in a truck is expected and not a problem if it weren't for the fact that they only offer you a 40 inch bunk. If seen bigger closets. 
If you expect to get days off you can book them but they are always short of drivers so expect at least a month away from your family at any given time. The pay is ok I've been paid worse but hard work gets you nowhere. My first hitch was 5 weeks long and should never have gone back after my first set of days off. I could go on but if you have driven for any length of time you can see what you are getting yourself into by what I'm writing.

When i go to work its nice to have the same routine know what time you start when you get off what days you are working and what days you have off. I like learning new things because it makes you more busy and steady at work. I have no interest in managment i dont like paper work i am a hands on kind of person. I think any job is not hard it just depends on the type of person you are and if you are mental tough you can over come anything. The best part of any job is meeting new people and where they are from and there history

Hughson Trucking is a very good company to work for.

I was very happy with almost all aspects with in Hughson Trucking. a few peers were dishonest. but found out once I left that they were weeded out. 
 They did not hold back on training, PPE and accommodations. Hughson trucking is a leader in the transportation Industry when it comes to care for there Employees, customers and safety.

Work in south operations pay by daily base(150$) + possible to get daily bonus(150$),but expect to be on duty 16h for that(including work and driving for min 500 miles),you`re short miles+no bonus,next bonus is after make 2500 m/w(next 150$) and that's return one lost daily bonus,but what when you lost 2 or more bonus days? They gone,and is no funny when you ending you day in 470-480 miles.
Don`t know how is on oilfield operations,except pay is 27$/h

Potentially a good company to work for but problems with dispatch consistency made it difficult to make money . Cross shift dispatch not communicating effectively , reducing productivity by having drivers sitting and waiting and running out of hours away from  home . Dispatching loads without ensuring return loads ahead of time . More training required in that area .

My concerns were not addressed.  I was ignored on a daily basis as if my input or even presence was not valued.  I did not receive proper direction from my "superiors"/management - most of the knowledge i gained was self taught.  Everyone in and around the office was constantly pessimistic and conversation almost always involved gossip and mistrust.
I would NEVER work for Hughson Trucking again.

The job was a good variety of physical exertion and mental focus, wether working in forklifts or on foot. Often times I would have to do multiple assignments to pass time on slow days were no barrite was being trucked during to industry downturn.

Like every job they have ups and downs been working here for a few years and aslong as you do your job and stay withing the rules you we do great here. Don't expect to be treated like a child becaise they treat you like adults. Offered advacement if you are deserving of it.
