HunterDouglas I feel is a great company and provides all kinds of experiences depending  on the position you have there. A typical day found me answering phone calls and providing assistance to the customer on the other end of the line. A lot of the callers were Thankful and friendly and we developed a good rapport over the years. Incoming calls varied from complaints about the product they received, to product knowledge questions. The phones were constantly ringing so paperwork had to be done between calls.
What I learned was computer skills, phone skills, product knowledge, better time management and how to interact with a wide variety of people.
Management varied over the years but we always knew the bottom line was Great Customer Service.
The Co-workers were wonderful for 99 percent of the time. I have lots of fond memories of the many people I was able to work with over my twenty years of employment at HunterDouglas.
The hardest part of the job was having enough time to complete the requests generated via a phone call before the next call came in. 
I really enjoyed it when you could correct a problem for a customer. It always felt good to provide a solution.

Hunter Douglas is a great place to work at and I'm sure I would still be working there if not of the ramifications of COVID 19. Management is extremely supportive and readily available and there is a lot of collaboration and team work among the staff. The work atmosphere is relaxing but result-oriented.

It's fast pace environment with diversity culture. It was more stressful but it's good to start to work in a corporation. Reasonable hours, diversity culture, new software to learn is the hardest part of the job because there is no more time to learn and needed to pick up work right away. The management is ok and the most enjoyable part of the job is fast pace and the time goes fast for the day.

Very good company to work for. Standard breaks and vacation time. Very good team atmosphere where all departments worked well together.  Very strong communication between employee and employer.  Administration and production worked well together and cared to do a great job.  
Edmonton location closed down, so very disappointing as it was the busiest location in North America at the time.

I enjoyed working as a data entry clerk.  But my job was replaced by call centre and I was moved from Data Entry to Call Centre.  I did not enjoy working at a call centre.

overall good place to work. very cool atmosphere. staff and management was very supportive. 
    
I really enjoyed working during winter vacation as management planned fun activitives for the customer service reps. 

Hunter was very well managed with the proper staff in place. It was very fast paced. Lean management was and just on-time was key for success. If you can handle that, you can handle anything. 

I worked 12 years in Hunter Douglas company. I had excellent experience with amazing people . I worked all different kind of jobs and learned all kinds of shades. Miss that job 

Hunter Douglas is a great place to work, great people and awesome perks and benefits. I went back to college and got a certificate that was paid for by Hunter Douglas.

very low pay and no regard for safety. things like standing on the very top of ladders and window edges 16 ft up are very normal. They expect you to have full time availability and you usually only work 1 or 2 days a week.
