Hunting Energy Services

First off I will say I loved Hunting and was there for many years and loved my time there until the end. 

If it wasn’t for certain people at the company I’m not sure how I survived the absolute joke that it ended up being at Hunting skyline.

Upper Management only new how to point fingers for their own doing, blaming the people on the floor for their poor actions and stripping away employees chances of making bonuses or increased salaries. 

It’s them against us kinda feeling if you were in the “back” you new where you stood. Even HR would quiver walking by you and not make eye contact whilst waddling around the place. The upper management changed immensely I believe in 2019 and that’s when it all went down hill! But yet I’m sure they feel proud of themselves as they have gotten to keep their jobs while putting 100’s of others out of work during a pandemic. 

The amount of side stepping on quality of their products was immense. And I’m sure it had only gotten better when third party companies are involved.

From day one the place was plagued with friction, dysfunction, and nepotism.  Yet, it continually sang its own praises, which was nauseating.  Mid level managers were very controlling and micro-managing.  There was limited to no opportunity for MEANINGFUL advancement (unless you were part of the beer drinking golf/hockey inner circle).  Excessive work was repeatedly dumped on a few good people who were basically taken advatage of - again, by over-zealous middle managers, but also cut throat or negligent co-workers: felt quite a bit like being a sheep among wolves.   One could cope and be thankful for a pay cheque with occasionaly positive moments, but the overall atmosphere of hostility, toxicity, and insecurity created by incompetent managers, supervisors, shop floor ignorance, and corporate greed, was lethal.  Decent BBQ's, Christmas dinners, and other perks, provided momentary respite and false hope.

The operational side of things meant there was never a dull moment. Being that if not training staff always busy dealing with government compliance. I was often given the opportunity to grow my personal skills and take training in order to better myself. The best part was the ability to audit the satellite locations to be hands on and show all employees that support was always readily available

Best job I ever had.  The management was helpful, open to suggestions, profesional, and above all very organized and ready for anything.  Customers were excellent to deal with on top of everything.  I was given responsibilities that I enjoyed.  If I could rate it 6 stars I would.  

The management doesn't trust the field staff, very poor communication between management and field staff. If your not part of the click you don't go out to very many jobs, or you get sent to ones that are going to be nothing but headaches

Love the company, all the employees are great, great environment to work with, i was so shocked that they closed its doors here in Canada, i was envisiong myself in this company and devastated of the news. I wish they will open its doors again, and i won't hesitate to re apply. All the best to Hunting.

It was my fist job in Canada, the company give me the opportunity to learn and develop a new skill in Canada, but over the years I found difficult to grow and develop more professionally, due to the fact that there is not diversity. most of the employees are from the same culture.

Loved my job there. People were great pay was good job was the best i had ever had. loved the hours loved the benefits loved the people. there was always so much to do so the day would fly by and social club meant lots of out side work fun and games

I would not return to Hunting canada under current management. The senior management would micromanage each department not allowing for employee input.
