Lots of issues as most of the directions come top down only - rarely concerns from bottom up are addressed. 
Could be excellent company to work with if it overcomes it main challenge - which is that is resource constrained. Short staffed in almost all areas in some that bad that is almost impossible to run the department or the business unit. Lots of attrition during and post covid. Seems like not willing to adopt to standards. 
In all major worldwide location this company suffers from not being closer to technology hubs/centers to attract and retain more talent. 

Large global enterprise gives lots of opportunities to learn and adopt. If you are after learning and experiencing how global manufacturing company works, this may be good fit for you. Annual salary revies and bonuses are nice way to appreciate employees. Buget for training and adaptation.

I enjoyed going to work for Husky Injection Molding. The people were friendly, the atmosphere was enjoyable and I always had work to do. The group benefits are exceptional, but a lot of the times you have to be on contract for awhile, sometimes years. They have a lot of recreational teams to choose from and they have a gym on campus. They also have a wellness centre on campus for massage therapy, chiropractor and more. They have recreational rooms in the many of the buildings on site, ex. ping pong. The shift work there varies. You could be on a rotation or could be working straight shifts. They have three shifts. Days, afternoons and weekends. There is room for advancement in this company, a lot of it being CNC machines. The pay is low however and the raises are minuscule. Bonus are handed out based on your work performance and continuous improvement projects.

A very good company to work for. It is a demanding work environment and it will be difficult for slackers to survive here. This company on the other hand treats employees well so you are getting a fair deal here.

One area that needs improvement is work/life balance. It is stressful enough during regular hours and outside regular hours, you get very little support. People here don’t seem to understand employees have a personal life too. Also it is still an old school manufacturing culture that hasn’t really changed since its inception.

This company has too much stake in plastic bottle manufacturing so the long term environmental concerns may deter candidates from applying. However if you can succeed here, that speaks volume to how good you are as a candidate in the job market.

A typical day at work day at Husky was very enjoyable...eventhough there were stressfull times throughout the work day, it was always a good stress. I thrive on being busy, figuring things out to make sure deadlines are met. I always did what I needed to do to get things done. Management and coworkers fell comfortable handing it off to me and knowing it would be done. My coworkers are wonderful, fun and work very well in a team environment. The most enjoyable part of my job is me enjoying what I do. The hardest part of my job, was when one of my co-workers left the company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Can be overly slow and boring ,rotating shifts depending on your department and team leader.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's OK,  mostly new hires with little experience working in Canada.
Friendly enough and good relationships can be made if your willing to work together. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Repetitive,  calm and slow.
Work orders are sometimes not there, especially at the end of Q4 and Q1.

My day at work can go from me working on the backlog of projects to me on the shop floor helping fix issues. This position has me wearing multiple hats at the same time and working through the day doing different things for various projects. The main goal of my position is to design the software for the injection molding machines that Husky produces for their customer. To fulfill this task, I go through everything from actual production work to sustaining product lines to working with development engineering to help fix issues and come up with new strategies for further development.

Great fundamentals, products, professionalism, strong technical capability and people. The never ending churn in the leadership groups makes it difficult to make forward progress quickly enough. Leaders are not leveraged to their full potential as a result this, culture of fear at the mid-management levels.

Here at Husky #NLM....no lives matter. Work you to the bone and don't care about family life. Company is racist. No type of promoting unless your part of the boys club. Do so much for them by putting in hours and it's all overlooked. When they don't need you any more they will take away work from you and then let you go for poor job performance. Picked on constantly. Bullied.HR is a joke.

Great work - life balance. Wellness program. Excellent gym facilities. Unique culture of innovation in engineering. Dynamic environment with constant strive for excellence. It is a good place to work, the coworkers are really helpful. I have learned so many things from here. the work is done in a very organized and systematic way.
