Interviewing and starting here, I was very exited and really loved my new coworkers and how much we all had in common. It didn't take me long to figure out that we all had something else in common... people-pleasing. They present themselves as anti-capitalist, diverse and including when what they really are is a poorly run company trying to get the most yes men on their payroll.  They fire interns randomly without giving cause days before their 3 months so it's still technically legal. Some of these interns were in co-op classes and would automatically fail the class due to being unrightfully fired and therefore lose the tuition on it as well costing teenagers thousands for their own gain. if you are hired as an intern be cautious and remember they are probably manipulating you! they also fired almost all of their staff in December of 2021 and January of 2023 almost on year apart. job security does not exist here!

When I first started, the work culture seemed great but that quickly went away and I realized that the management at this company truly do not care about you as an employee. They love having interns because it's essentially free labour that they don't have to pay directly themselves. Overtime is basically expected, even though you do not get overtime pay and it's all due to the fact that management cannot plan. Communication is lacking in every aspect of this place with each manager giving you a different answer. There is also 0 training provided and you're just expected to pick up everything on your own.  The lower level employees were all amazing and friendly to work with, but sadly 95% of them have left or were fired. I truly wish you all the luck in the world if you decide to submit an application to this place.

At first this company seemed really good, I was so happy and excited to start here. For a while, it really was fun but things started to go down hill after they fired over half the lower level staff in January (this wasn't the first time they had done this too). Morale hit the floor and no one seemed interested in helping it improve. In fact when we were swamped with work from losing our co-workers, you could often find the owners in the foyer playing foosball.

They cut back our benefits, while raising the cost of them - stating that we didn't use them enough, but also we used them too much.

I finally gave up after over a year of sticking it out, and the last six months telling myself "it can't get any worse" and it just kept getting worse. They are slowly rolling back everything that once made this a good place to work. 

The culture at Hybrid Infusions is incredible - I have worked at a few different companies and none of them have had cultures even close to this. Everyone on the team is super supportive, knowledgeable, kind and caring. They really focus on inclusivity and respect. Management is great - they always answer questions and help employees in any way that they can.
Things are generally always very fast paced but it means that lots of things are getting done. They are always doing their best to learn and grow as a company. Since I started, a ton of changes have been made for the better. I'm really proud to work here.

A lot of red flags when first starting. 
The "we are a family" attitude comes through with the expectations that you will work overtime when management fails to plan properly. And then you and the team will get blamed for their lack of planning if orders are missed.
It really feels like no one knows how to run a business and instead of taking on the stress, they will pass it on to the lower level staff. 
Management does not know how to manage or hide their stress, and thus you feel it. 
Seems like the owners got into this thinking that it would be an easy gig for them and they'd be able to drink and play foosball everyday, but hopefully they will realise that isn't the case and that they really have no business running a company.

This job is fine if you don’t mind poor working conditions, cheap equipment that doesn’t work well, a DIY facility built to save costs, and management that uses the building as their personal playground and only puts money towards their toys and ways to make themselves have a better time. You are expected to be the best well rounded employee while working for minimum wage and having upper management pretend you don’t exist. This was quite literally the worst job I’ve ever worked, they are aware of a significant amount of their employees feeling undervalued and underpaid and it doesn’t bother them nor make them want to change.

The flexibility with shifts is a huge plus, especially if you have things going on outside of work. The team building events are actually fun too.

It can get pretty hectic when it's busy, so you have to be able to keep up with the pace.

"It’s a good environment. There’s a big focus on the team, and they do a lot of events after hours so you actually get to know the people you're working with.

Going home. Lunch breaks. Coffee breaks. Payday

Management, work environment, coworkers, pay, facility manager, CEO

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Negative, toxic, intimidating, best positions go to friends of CEO. Untouchable management who have no consequences for unprofessional behaviour.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Soul killing, nauseating, spoken to by managers as if I’m worthless, GET RID of Facility Manager!!!!

Work is very physical, extremely demanding if you look like you can carry 50 kg around; not ideal when you get paid the MINIMUM.
Coworkers micromanage you, and management is very disorganized. There were some issues (rumours) that got many people fired. Some coworkers (managers’ friends) are toxic and face no consequences. 
Some people got terminated within a week of working there, interns are not respected and there is a lot of nepotism. 
 
Thank God I left early.

My three months at this company were filled with monotonous tasks for minimum wage, without proper work attire provided, and a lack of support that significantly impacted my well-being. The only positive aspect was the support from my supervisor and HR. This job served as a reminder that I need to find a better opportunity elsewhere.
