What is the best part of working at the company?
They provide the best benefits package that I've ever heard of including a Personal spending account and an additional health spending bank on top of the great package. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Be very careful, and do not trust your Human Resource or upper management. 
Manipulation, lies, and back-stabbing is the norm. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is toxic. Some departments are over-worked and expected to go way above and beyond the regular scope or duties. 
An example is an employee being expected to purchase office supplies afterhours and purchasing operational items out of pocket and having to wait unacceptable waiting times for reimbursement. 
Another example, being asked to come in on your own time to do a favor for your boss to avoid over-time. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It is crazy and we never know what kind of day it will be. It is the nature of big workplaces.

What is the best part of working at the company?
career path, sense of belonging, experienced employees & opportunities (benefits, travels, learning, etc)

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Task load is important in a fast paced environment however very stimulating, interesting projects, and overall great people to work with

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Safety First, continuous improvement, passionate people who love what they do overall, going above and beyond 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy .. stressful… fun… busy… and say what? The day is over already?!!! Oh what the heck… let’s just finish this last task… oops… “honey can you start the supper I think I will be home a bit late” …( sigh of relief  to hear a positive response at the end of the line) .. (smile inwardly) click send to that last email, set up the priorities for tomorrow, close my laptop and head home.

The workers are great. Middle management are arrogant and entitled. Management are completely out of touch. Like, literally in a different location with no clue about the real work that goes on. They don't like to be told they did something wrong. They don't like to follow rules/laws that are inconvenient for them. Plus, financially, they are struggling. Costs $1M a week to run...and are a couple billion in the hole... Don't need to be an accountant to see how that is going to turn out. They are too busy pampering themselves and padding their own nests to be concerned with how the little guy is doing. 
Don't bother going to HR about anything. They use it against you as they are all chums with management.

This plant is less than two years old, yet the machinery is already in terrible shape due to poor maintenance and excessive strain. Instead of running at a steady, sustainable pace, management pushes high volumes through the equipment, leading to constant breakdowns and inefficiencies.

Employee turnover is extremely high, with people leaving or being fired for questionable reasons. Management refuses to take recommendations from employees and remains stubbornly set in their ways, creating a frustrating and unproductive work environment.

Overall, this is not an enjoyable place to work. Until leadership improves and prioritizes both equipment longevity and employee well-being, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Stressful, like any mining company, some good people some bad people

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Starts early in the morning, finish later, no overtime paid.

Most days were enjoyable. How to understand the different mine sets of your workers. Willing to help with different daily duties. Most workers did there work well. Trying to keep everone happy.Having a happy team at the end of the day and no Injurys.

If you enjoy camp work without having the pay of a camp, then look no further!
If you enjoy standing around for hours on end with no direction this is the spot!
Shop management has no idea how to run a service department. 
You will get mislead. They expect perfection from a sub par salary.

Working at IAMGOLD is easygoing. I love working there because I feel like I’m cooking at home in my kitchen. The difference is I’m cooking for 20 men.
Everyone at the site is very polite and friendly, and it makes for a great atmosphere to work in.

Great leadership and opportunity to learn and grow. Was given a wide range of things to work on, and had the opportunity to work with different departments and meet different people. My boss was more of a mentor than anything. Great corporate culture.
