Hardest part of the job is long hours .But a typical day start early in the morning with conference calls and business projections against target. But it the lunch time its a very good work ethics and culture , so that every individual needs to come to the canteen and have their lunch together irrespective of grades .

Most enjoyable part of the job when we organize team outings and planned for a weekend trip with the colleagues.Its really an awesome experience with the colleagues.

Right from the get go- i.e., the phone call till the interview, it was all a joke.

The HR calls saying its a "junior finance role" and when I ask what it is - her response is "junior role".

When I come for the interview, the HR and the VP of Finance interviewed me.

1. The HR seemed the lest interested, pretty much rubbing his eyes the whole time, exasperated and seemed like he was forced to do it.
2. The VP of finance was quiet and had a couple of basic questions.

I had asked the HR when I'd get to hear back from them, and she said in the following 2 weeks. After following up, she mentioned they're still hiring and will let me know.

Safe to say I didn't get it since I never heard back, nor would I want to work in that kind of environment, but basic courtesy goes out the window with these guys.

Also - the role was for a Senior Office and the HR mentioned it as a junior role. LMAO - a nice tactic to bait people who are desperate for a job.

This company is no 1 in relation to customer service and no of branches in india,hr is strong and timings are very much maintained when it comes to returning home from work,very learning oriented and always keeps the employees updated on the recent product launches and process changes in operational work,learned a lot while working here.I love to meet new people and retail banking has provided me with that opportunity,while generating business from the same customers.Best part about working with icici bank was its quick resolution of customer requests and maintenance of tat to keep customers happy.

if you do hard work along with smart work then for you all the days are same you will feel no pressure of work. generally everyday at workplace is same which ends with target achievement versus target set in the morning.
i have learned a lot there. How to tackle pressure, how to stay calm in anger, how to achieve numbers by maintaining relationship with superiors, subordinates and clients.
The upper management is very understanding, kind and supportive but sometimes become beast in the last months of year end.

Opening of new accounts, cross selling of various products, making phone calls to customers for updating with the latest remittance rates and currency conversions. I have learned basic banking operations and bank products and the guidelines of Canadian banking system. It has a strong management highly qualified and experienced. Very friendly,helpful and understanding co-workers. The enjoyable part of the job is when a customers is fully satisfied with the products and service.

Monitored the currency and interest rate risk and make different strategic to mitigate the risk  Arranged buyers/suppliers credit to the bank and got from 5-50 bps more than the target.  Responsible for operational execution, controllable profit plan achievement, and sales building activities.  Played key role in delivering 15% increase in profit by negotiated prices on FX and Interest rate objectives in sales, profitability and customer service.  Maintained over 100+ customer relationships and generate repeat business.

Initially the work was good, learning was good, pay wasn't great, managers were great and even culture was better. After getting new regional heads and cluster heads, things started changing, people started blaming each other rather than encouraging to get the work done as a team. Days starts with abusing words over conference calls and ending with the same. I was just waiting to get out of the place.

An Indian company with Indian culture where addressing the Sr. Management and bosses as Sir is the norm. Work culture isn't the best out there. Promitions and career advancements are tenure based and not perfomance based.

Learning opportunities are plenty. They help you diversify in your experience and take on new projects. Amazing work life balance. No pressure to stay after hours or work on weekends.
