Serving and greeting customers ,opening tills in morning,restocking and reordering Hallmark gifts and cards .Completing daily sales and office book keeping and stock . Taking care of my 6 store sections.Putting together seasonal displays throught the store.Preparing change float and bank deposits.Shipping and recieving of store inventory.Traing new cashiers on till and lottery machine and training them on their assigned sections.Closing off tills at nightand securing daily sales in safe. I have learned pharmacy book keeping.It was a one week crash course. I learned how valuable team work is.I learned how a pharmacy is operated and how to make your fell ow co-workers feel encourage and praised when doing a good job.Managment was always there when needed to answer any questions and to show you the best solutions for what ever task you are undertaking.My co-wokres were so much fun and became friends outside of work as well.Great bunch of people to work with. The hardest part of the job was being short staffed and trying to balance the office work and running of till and 6 scetions all at once.I did so without any complaint,but was very grateful when extra help was hired .The most enjoyable part of the job is hard to say because I enjoyed everything about it.The great people I worked with and the customers who always came in and made you smile. Or you were able to brighten their day just by asking how they are and showing interest in them.The community event we were involed in to raise money for local charitys ,such as bed races to raise money for the hospital M.R.I machine. Unfortunately I had to return back to Ontario from B.C and leave thatb job behind.But left with great memories and still keep in touch.

I had a great time working at IDA pharmacy. I would get great hours, everyone was very friendly to me and vise versa. I worked there for a year and a half. I would create orders for the stores, I would organize, add items in the systems, I would handle the cash, Western Union was apart of the store which meant that I was handling money constantly, which was great because I am very responsible and careful and with everything and anything around me. 

I, later on, got promoted in the store to become the pharmacist technician because of how hard I worked and I caught up with only a few days of training. I would fill prescriptions, label and then pack them.

Everything was great about IDA pharmacy, however, the only reason I had left is that we were not given breaks which was fine with me till we were also no longer allowed to use the bathroom regardless of our shift length. I was not the only one to leave, and I was very sad to leave. However, I also believe that I would like to work where the environment that does not restrict the employees of their basic needs which would include eating or using the bathroom.

IDA pharmacy was a great place to work in which I got along very well with both staff and management. I was responsible for the pharmacy cash, as well as filing all necessary paperwork, helping count prescriptions, helping order and stock prescription bottles and setting up deliveries to our less mobile customers. The hardest part of the job was trying to keep customers calm in a very busy pharmacy in which wait times could vary depending on the time of day. The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with both the customers and the staff as they seemed to brighten up day from time to time. I learned quite a bit considering this was my first job experience as I learned the basics of customer service, learned how to file paperwork, learned how to handle money and cashier duties and also learned basic employee responsibilities.

The owners are amazing. Every IDA will be different unless owned by the same owners. In my case the owners were the same for the three individual pharmacies I worked for and honestly they are to this day the best people I ever met and worked for. Amazing bosses and amazing people. They became part of my family. I will always be grateful to have gotten my start with them. I wish everyone could have this kind of job experience because it proves that there's amazing business owners that care about you and your family and will go to extreme measures to help you when you need it. I feel blessed that I was able to work in such an amazing environment with such amazing people.

Whether working in the front part of the store or in the pharmacy, the positions were enjoyable and other staff pleasant to work with. Each employee fit well with each other, helpful, courteous, patient when teaching new skills to new employees. Customers appeared to appreciate the way they were treated and many would compliment staff and store on cleanliness, friendliness and knowledge.

A typical day at work went by pretty fast as it was usually busy.  I learned lots of new things such as what the result of taking different prescriptions is and what they are used for.  The management was very friendly and productive teaching.  The Pharmacist changed while I was employed there and I enjoyed working with both of them.  Some of the employees did not make it the most welcoming place to work, which would have been the hardest part of the job.  The best was when the more enjoyable employees made it an enjoyable working environment, and helped me learn anything and everything that I could to be better at my job.  Overall I enjoyed working there.

The staff that work at IDA are amazing and welcoming people. You end up coming in to the job for the people you work with and the amazing customers who come into the store. 
There are opportunities to learn but most likely will have to fight for them and do not expect credit for your own work and knowledge of the job.
Management is terrible and it is a terrible environment. I would not work here again for my own mental health and well-being. 

I worked for the IDA company for a little over 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! The management is great; they provide in-depth training, truly value your comfort in the workplace, and provide fair scheduling based on needs. As I transitioned to a new city to attend post-secondary school, my managers were kind enough to keep me on to make some extra cash during my holiday breaks! Had I not needed full-time hours, I certainly would've stayed there indefinitely. I highly recommend working for this company, especially in their Iroquois Falls, Ontario location!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Meeting new people .The staff was very helpful and friendly.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some of the customers were difficult to take care of.Working on the floor was stressful ,you had to watch and follow around potential shop lifters.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
At times stressful,the owner used to watch the staff on camera.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Just taking care of customers and keeping a clean work environment.

I truly enjoyed working in this company. The owners are hands on and very supportive to me. Working in the pharmacy was never idle, there are a lot of things to do, from receiving prescriptions, preparing, up to selling the medications. You get to know different kinds of people, face to face transactions and phone inquiry.

It develops my Customer Service skills in a way that you can expect that most of the people who are coming are either upset or irate, not with you but with their current situation. It challenges your patience, attentiveness and ability to pacify the customer.
