A typical day would involve 2-3 meetings involving the coordination of materials, subcontractors, safety, QC, scheduling and client specified time constrained work areas.  The balance of the day would involve the implementation of the decisions made during these meetings.

I learned the importance of very thorough documentation including lots of pictures and a thorough journal.  This only serves to make subsequent steps in the job's progress to go smoother.

Management really encouraged a team environment where when responsibilities required someone to become overloaded that person could depend on them to eleviate the situation by stepping in themselves, or reassigning some tasks to somebody who had a lighter workload.

The hardest part of the job would be resolving conflicting and sometimes unreasonable client requirements in a productive cost effective manner.

I enjoyed the feeling of going to work each day knowing the people that counted had my back when things were tough and slapped my back when things went well.

It was a great experience the people were great to work with and the IDL Bosses were great and the pay is awesome all around IDL PROJECTS is a great company thank you for the  experience.....

Nothing really just have to be aware

Great the people are friendly and everyone helps each other out and keep everyone safe

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Just doing what your there to do make sure the company that  your doing safety watch for that there crew and everyone around is safe and that no fire happen

Money is the only reason. These companies pay well but dispose of you at a whim. If your not part of the club you catch a layoff. Be prepared to be expendable 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Layoff date looms large in the last couple turnarounds on a project people become petty and will look for infractions to deflect their own deficiencies

Dog eat dog if your not a hot chick or buddy buddy don't expect respect or consideration 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typical heavy Civil construction.  I didn't learn anything new here. Innovation is lacking. Way too bogged down in safety minutiae

Wages, LOA, rotation, close to my home

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Double standards, policies and procedures taught in orientation are not what’s expected in the field.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unprofessional, harassment, always worry about your job, they lay off and immediately hire new, courtesy’s are frowned upon.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lots of standby, lots of biting your lip to stay out of drama and still get burned anyway.  I loved the actual work part of the job but the stress of double standards within policies was the hardest.

In the just over four years I work for this company I was treated very well and paid very well. There was always work to go to and I was always called when needed. They are very professional and working for them I felt very professional myself. The Foreman's General foreman and superintendent are all very caring and concerned with the good during your day and the bad if it did come about. I recommend anyone looking for work to apply to IDL projects. The company itself is growing and I see nothing but great things on the horizon for this company and all who work for them.

If you get hurt on the job expect to be looking for a new job quickly the safety and supervisors will not cease to violate your rights and it's not even worth your time with these clowns heal and go to new pastures. Was a good paying job, lost respect for them after I experienced their nasty tactics and continuous rights violations, wouldn't recommend this company to my enemy.

They are supportive and follow safety protocols. Good wage and Benefits

Waiting for new Ptoject start ups. It’s construction and that is part and f it with any job

Very positive and safety oriented 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lots of laughs while production is being accomplished

first an 8 hour "welcome to the company...unpaid, then 4 hours to get the training courses...again unpaid, then 4 days work with the last day only 2 hours, never again would I waste my time with this place. Way too many chiefs and not enough.........., very disorganized, It was plain to see the were flying by the seat of there pants, a complete waste of time.

good company with safety as priority one and with a lot of exciting projects full of innovation. the crew is full of diverse people with lots of good ideas. the hardest part of this job would be either move the family job to job or live away but if you want a head start in life in the financial department then give it a try.

Shout out to one of the most mismanaged companies out there. Pay is good and that’s it. Work culture is a joke. No advancement for long time employees you just get the boot. Never mind being female or indigenous. Lack of respect for women, indigenous and there communities. No support. Don’t dare speak up you’ll be unemployed.
