Since we work and execute bookings for four properties , there are loads of tasks which comes with working in this field, a typical day at work would contain a huge amount of emails along with faxes which has to be dealt with accordingly..

At the same time there are telephone calls which you must have in mind, i learned how to handle guest complaints with initiating reservations bookings, which either comes through faxes and email's and telephone calls..

Hardest part of my job would be chasing down and following up with cash based local travel agency's who doesn't have credit facility with our hotels, who must pay there payments on time and before the guest check in dates, other wise bookings must be expelled and removed form the reservations system.

My management are supportive and at the same time recognize hard work and dedication, they believe in rewards and opportunities..

Co workers are also help full amongst each others..

The most enjoyable part of my job would be the incentive program and also tasking care of business through emails and also test calls which would be evaluated based on my performance and my standards, which makes it more exciting and very challenging..

The typical day at work in the intercontinental hotel aqaba jordan was so great. They teach me a lot of things, how i can properly apply all the things that I've learned before,. They teach me how to handle any guest complaint, guest suggestion and comments. The taught me to be a productive team member,as a good team member we have some ways to do. Like work as a team, don't be a selfish,by this we will improve ourselves and our friendship. About the management,they do their job good, but then there's some issues that they can't know how to handle it well. About the co workers they respect each other, every ones belief and every one's religion,and rights. The hardest part of my job is you need to work under pressure. And last, the most enjoyable part was, you and your colleague will decided to make some happenings outside and you will celebrating some events with them. Hanging out and bonding with friends after work,.

One of the best employer out there in the job market. 
My routine day include job duties like assisting banquet management team by ensuring proper and systematic BEO sequencing through Delphi operating system on a daily basis, scheduling and payroll duties, invoicing and client accounts management through Micros system, requisition and inventory management duties, producing coffee sheets, function layout sheets, liquor consumption reports, inventory sheets, Evention data system reports and general administrative work. Other departmental duties include assisting banquet staff with preparation, supervision and execution of banquet functions and helping Azure fine-dining restaurant staff during peak periods.
Best time i ever spend working with any of the employer.

The hardest part of the job is to be on your feet for 7 hours. However the staff that you work with make it worthwhile. Everyone, including management team is always very positive and up-beat. You do get to eat the good food that the Hotel makes when you get the chance to have a break. The most enjoyable part of the job is to meet different people and to be able to serve them in the best way you can. When customers are satisfied then it reflects on the working staff. I have learned to properly set up tables in different functions, I have also learned to use my strength when carrying heavy plates and trays. My time management skills are enhanced since each function consisted of specific time periods of when to serve and to clean.

Job overall was interesting, but there seems to be a bit of friction between upper management and hourly workers, felt pressured and belittled when trying create relationships with co-workers due to management not wanting us to speak our main language. Training was also very hands off, and I had little interaction with my supervisor  over the course of my training. However, co-workers closer to my job level helped me a lot and created a better environment

-Assist guests with reservations in a professional and friendly manner by listening to their needs and providing the best fit.
-Use your phone smile to put guests in ease and make them feel comfortable and welcome. Make sure guests realize that you value their time and loyalty to the hotel.
- Calm irate guests using problem solving skills by being assertive rather than aggressive.
- Be a team player to ensure smooth flow of daily tasks.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Absolutely nothing. A terrible company to work for. Everyone is expendable, no matter how hard you try to do a great job. Never met a single person who actually liked working for that company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Never knowing the actual moment that you'll be unemployed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Completely toxic, especially from the higher management.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depressing having to go in, and can't wait to leave.

In the morning you get your uniform on, rush to the office to get your assignment of the day, immediately you look for the checkout rooms and double rooms that you will do that day that gives you an idea of how your day will be.
You get the cart and get the extra supplies you will need go to your section and start cleaning rooms.
Basically you work alone only see your coworkers at lunch time or at the end of the day, the hardest part is the stress of doing a good job but also finishing on time. Is great when you get tips or great compliments from guests

Maybe the best job that I had. Management help and motivates the staff to perform even in the worst situation possible, team spirit is highly valued and everyone pushed for the well being of the hotel.

Sadly (in my situation) i was not available to work on saturdays since i had classes  but they are willing to hire me back if an opportunity arise. 

The hotel invest in its employees and try to get them to stay as long as possible (average of the years of experience is around 7 years)

-It's an international brand hotel owns by local government.
-Departmental head was always being inspiring, who inspired me with a lot of hard works that I had not expected myself could achieve at that time.
-The most enjoyable part of this job was being trusted as someone didn't have a really long working experience and assigned important works. It made me became more confident and learnt how to play an important role in a team.
-Challenges were unstoppable, but my boss made me feel that I was always welcomed to talk to her with any kind of issues.
