The organization shares a lot of big ideas and can be supportive with a select few, but typically hires into managerial positions based on friendships and connections - so looking for advancement within the company is slim to none.

On the ground workers interacting with clients are trying their best, but support is often lacking. Feedback to higher-ups is not taken into consideration, and seniority is not asked to change anything about their work protocols while the newer staff are harder enforced (often causing a rift with coworkers). They promise reasonable pay and "above" others in the industry, but not for the expectations placed on workers. 

The hours are decent for those looking for not overly strenuous days; there is a foundation that has always been strong but has shifted away over the years.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The team that I worked with was good and my supervisor was the best ever I have had in my whole career till date.

The word stress never occurred to me as a part of a team, we all shared and worked load and celebrated overcoming challenges.

Extremely friendly and made me feel welcomed.

Working with human beings can be stressful but the most important is that I like working with people

Always buzy working from Monday to Friday

This organisation seeks to help immigrants and refugees in many capacities. They include language instruction, employment services, social integration and community building. I volunteer at ISANS in language tutoring, classroom assistance, and helping people practice for job interviews. Staff are eager to help clients and one another, the atmosphere is energetic and optimistic.

As an ISANS employee I found a very friendly environment with wonderful co workers, quite decent place to work with multicultural basis which is very intersting specially for an immigrant like me. 
Supervisors and team leads were always ready for any support and help and every body working in as a team.

A very busy dynamic work environment with many different departments and allowed me to learn a lot from each one.

It’s a good place to work but the salary to lower. The staff and management is good , the location and the environment is nice 

They work well with the different cultures and respect the identity, it’s so important for a new immigrant.

Terrible place to work with judgemental management and no job security. Fostered a culture of competition to get a secure long term contract. Absolutely zero job security.

Great opportunities to learn and grow. Enjoy open and honest communication with supervisor. Challenging position that offers the opportunity to support newcomers to achieve their goals. 

it was really fun working there but it was temp. it was only 15 mins away and close to Halifax shopping centre and restaurants are so close.
