My time at IVIS Inc. is phenomenal, this is my first introduction to the construction world and I prefer it over any other industry.  I feel like I am working within a multicultural family environment where everyone is willing to help one another.  IVIS Inc. is a military friendly organization where veterans can kick off the combat boots and lace up steel toe boots while making a difference within the of Edmonton and surrounding areas.  IVIS Inc. has a great benefit plan, great salary & hourly wages and a option to receive bonuses based on company performance.  There is a small on site gym with sauna and shower, a fully functioning kitchen to promote healthy eating and a heated patio during the winter.  IVIS Inc. is a growing company with tons of opportunity for over time and advancement.  IVIS Inc. is independently owned and operated where the owner believes in giving back to its employees.  Oh yeah, they don't work during the festive holidays, I finally get to spend time with my family and have a actually turkey dinner on the holidays! I LOVE this company!

The owner runs everything. has no trust in anyone but two of her original employee's. The place should have been shut down years ago for employment standard violations. I had 2 or 3 checks bounce . The trucks are rusty p.o.s.'s and d.o.t could out of service every vehicle in the place. there is no safety. When I was there,  insurance was on the workers, if someone dies working for company, the family was not the beneficiary. The most toxic place I have ever worked at. If you have no self respect and like being treated like a idiot, you will fit in.
The three hardest parts of the job, is hearing the Boss say she's "god" and listening to her cry(real sobs) about how tuff she's got it. The third is finding the desire in the morning to show up to work there one more day.

In the very short time i was employed I saw 7ppl leave in 7wks. Staff are a good group but anyone that has lasted longer than a year is there only because they have been beaten down so bad verbally and emotionally by the female owner that they don't know enough to get out! Owner does not speak calmly, she yells, swears, name calls and is so distrustful that she's convinced everyone is out to get her. She has cameras in every corner of her building and sits behind her desk at reception watching,,,this is definitely the job i will never forget as much as i would like to and it will never be listed on my resume. Please read the reviews on this owner and her company. They are all true. 

I was a salaried worker who was not paid or given time in lieu for any overtime I worked, which was often. I was, however, docked for any sick days. The boss would openly scream at people in the office on a daily basis. She screamed at a field worker one time for "not even getting dirty" and screamed at the same worker another time for "getting too dirty". 

Very stressful environment with the only good thing being that the other workers were super close and supportive of one another.

I have learned life lessons at this employment. I have learned to be very organized and to make sure that any work I have accomplished throughout the day is attached to as much backup as I can possibly attach. I am happy to say I survived as long as possible because of my thorough, well maintained, highly organized work. I also attribute my long standing employment in the company due to great training by an accounts receivable employee

Ivis is probably one of the best companies in Alberta to work for. Excellent pay and benefits. Always has enough work.  Management and ownership are top notch. Lots of opportunities to move around and up in a variety of capacities. I worked there for a long time. If I wasn't stuck in calgary I would be there in a heartbeat.

The owner is horrible!!!! The only good review is from her pet of 18 years.
Or maybe herself? She is the most stressful person on earth to work for.
I can not stress enough that you can find a better place to work anywhere but here. I am not kidding. She is terrible to work for and I watched a lot of people go through her meat grinder. The other managers will throw you under the bus at a drop of a hat. Run away! I swear find any other place to work.

I thought the employee reviews were exaggerated, but they’re spot on.  The owner is verbally abusive to all employees, questions everything you do, and is very inconsistent with her policies.  This place is a revolving door so Good Luck making it past the probationary 90 days; but if you do, you’ll be quitting soon after unless you enjoy being yelled at.

A truly garbage place to work with a toxic work environment. Disgustingly unimpressive management with leadership not worthy of any employee loyalty. Incompetent, inept, and flagrantly unapologetic in stupidity. 
In fact, I'm embarrassed to tell anyone I have worked there because they always ask why the owner is such a horrible human being.

Little or no communication with upper management. 
Sets you up for failure.
Will openly yell at you in front of others.
High turnover.
No trust and will take work off your desk without telling you.
No trust in doing your job.
Little or no help in teaching you about the company and its services.
Make you feel that you have little or no self-worth.
GREAT EMPLOYEES TO WORK WITH!
