As a subcontractor regularly contracted for Civil Works on IWCD Projects we can say that IWCD consistently provides a Safe, Respectful, Organized and Productive work site. A typical day on site  begins with a Site Safety Orientation followed by an overview of the days activities. Site Superintendents are always on hand and readily available to answer any questions or resolve any issues that may arise on site with patience and a respectful attitude. 
We have found the most challenging aspect of working on an IWCD site to be coordination of conflicting trades on site i.e.., mobbing to site while we are still completing u/g services. This issue was resolved through productive communication with IWCD Ownership and site Management, at which they heard our concerns and worked diligently with us to find an acceptable solution for all parties involved.
One of the best things about working with IWCD is that no matter what the problem or issue at hand , all staff from the Owner to a site laborer has shown that they will work with you as a trade to rectify any situation.   
We look forward to a long and productive relationship with IWCD for many years to come.

This company has been extremely good to me. I worked a lot in residential before and just thought it was normal to work for temperamental bosses with anger issues. I'd get yelled at over nothing then get stressed out and make mistakes I didn't have to and that'd make me dread coming to work. Now I actually take pride in my craft and look forward to the next day because I find myself sitting at home getting excited about the next step of the project. 

The work is dynamic and exciting, the team is engaged, educated and fun to work with, and the pay is actually based on your skills. 

If you're reading this and still slogging away for some boss you don't even respect, what are you doing man?  

I worked for the company for over a month without getting my payroll finalized. My foreman seemed apathetic about the situation and the superintendent was openly confrontational when I approached him about my frustration with their inability to complete a very simple administrative necessity.
 The superintendent spent his days chain smoking and dramatically ensuring that everyone be aware of how "stressful" his job was. I'm absolutely certain that if he spent a little less time pouting around and trying to fit in 40 smoke breaks a day the site would be a lot more efficient. The man was so concerned with coming across as a hard case that it crippled his already stunted ability to effectively communicate.
The company likes to talk about how the employees are their greatest asset, but my experience was quite different.

the owners and management were incredibly kind, smart, and authentic individuals.
they foster a culture of care, professionalism, and genuine support its clear they want every employee to thrive and succeed. 
They are consistently getting the team together for BBQ's and team building events. It really feels more like a family then a workplace. its an environment built on trust, encouragement and collaboration.

A few of my close friends still work here and continue to love it - and I'm confident anyone who joins the team will feel the same, if you're looking for a company that truly values its people, this is it.

I had to make the tough decision to part ways in pursuit of my own entrepreneurial goals, which they were greatly in support of!

i started with IWCD sept 2020 as HR / fleet manager. I have had the privilege  to be working with some of the best people in the industry and continue to meet and hire truly skilled individuals. 
The owners of IWCD genuinely care about all of their staff  and encourages a work/ family balance. IWCD gives all employees the  opportunity to advance their skills and grow with the company. 
IWCD also recognizes the multi generations that we have in the industry and is able to adapt with the changing workforce. This company truly is an amazing place to work,    


the day starts off with the everyone saying good morning to each other , the respect is evident as soon as you come to work be it at the office or on the sites.
The culture is amazing, I have never seen anything like it in 20 years of construction.
you are supported by some many people who want to see you succeed they take the time help you when you need it , your opinions are valued and encouraged . 

There's lots of work on a day to day basis. The people are wonderful to work with and management seems to genuinely care about the employees which makes you feel like a person rather than a number. 
Everyone is supportive and wants you to succeed. There are ample learning opportunities and competitive wages. Work life balance is of huge importance here, being able to leave work at work. 

I have been working with iwcd for a number of years, I started my apprenticeship with them and they have done nothing but bend over backwards to help me achieve my end goal, if your honest with them on what your goals are working there and show effort the people from workers to owners will go the distance to make it possible.

Decent pay, good benefits and a staff that cares about your future!
